and slaves do not have any physical freedom, but their minds and souls are free...

I think "jesus " may be one of the most misunderstood " people" on the planet, and also think it benefits certain quarters to keep it that way.

thanks chris, will have a look at the ego thread.

Oh my God,

when did I start taking all love and give nothing back ?
When did that happen?

Am I such a loveless person ?

Do I demand love and respect ?

I do not need anyone else's love, I love myself, and that is enough.

annemirri, you would really resonate with michael tsarion's work. Unfortunately his forum is no more, or at least he is only talking to himself on it.

annemirri 03-12-2010 08:02 PM

I am part of all that is.

That is a fact solid as a rock.

gather material things around me, as nothing lasts forever...

if someone needed or wanted something that I had or have,
I have and will give it away. (yes, sadly people still tend to be quite greedy,
I have been left a few times just with my backbag and clothes on. :original:,
but that is life.)

but, I am part of all this, my body is made of " earth material",
how is that supposed to make me humble ?

or do you mean that I should feel small ?

Never heard of him, and not even interested in finding out.

Why should I study someone else's work ?

Hi Swordsmith
Think you are right regarding Jesus.
If he came back here and saw how his teachings have been miss-used distorted, how many were killed his name, there would be more than a few tables overturned.

Anyway hope you contribute on the ego thread, all points of view are welcome and appreciated.

Regards
Chris

Thank You Swordsmith, :huglove:

I used to have those sentences written on my wall in BIG LETTERS.

It was when I studied a Course of Miracles....

Me too I belonged to a study group in Findhorn.
All about our way of looking a things is fatal flawed. Lesson by lesson day by day belief systems, programing is dissolved. till all that is left is the knowledge that we are one in Christhood.
The moment I take up a position I know that I am identifying with an illusion.
Putting in God or Jesus in "my box" is a big mistake.
Chris.

Sorry if you misunderstood me, I was not asking what do you do for living.

I was thinking ,what do you do in life when you consider that you know all?

And for the record, no job is shameful ,only ego makes someone think that.

P.S.
What warnings?

It's the ego that needs to learn humility, I think - to learn that, contrary to appearances, it is not the center of the universe. ;)

The true "I" is a piece of God, and yet God truly is undivided. How extraordinary!

(Warning...I put one question on a post as that makes it easier to understand, one thing a time,
and that some find annoying, as there are too many posts by one person, but I like it that way, and I will keep on doing it...
I try to keep things neat, and organized.)

And I am no more cleaning toilets, quite an experience, and for the record,
I have studied and worked in all kind of places and positions with all sort of people in different countries...

I have always been quite curious about life and people here on Planet Earth.

And, it is is mean, even childish, to say that I consider knowing all.
Keep things in perspective.:original:

and here is the good news :

humility cannot be learned

it's rather a question of un-learning

we are born humble

it's our birthright

we just have to re-member what we are

We are what we think and if our thoughts overflow with stubbornness or too much of ego, we will not come far.

Humility is a first step or a door to a new dimension where all is possible to one who believes.
Ego is that mythological dog guardian who won`t let us through that door.

I say fight the dog!

What is that new dimension ?

(you see, I do not know all as I still keep on asking questions ? :wink2: )

Almost all is possible even in this dimension.

Are there beings on other dimensions ? angels, aliens and demons ?
Humbleness won' t take you far, you would get scared...

Well all that you wrote exist.
But it can act as an obstacle to our mind.
How?

It can be as stray road which leads nowhere.
Then when you realize that you`re mistaken ,an ego comes and bugs you down to refuse to be humble and say- I was wrong-.

There are things in universe that we are not aware of, a lot of them.
Everything that we know now is but a speck of real volume out there...

It takes humility to acknowledge that.

False ego is an adversary, yes... but it is there to be transcended through forgiveness and spiritual work - a catalyst for growth and evolution. So it is really our friend! And humility is needed always. I don't know if it's a key to anything in particular, or a "first" step. It's one lesson among many. Some may be working on different lessons at the moment. Others may come by their humility as naturally as breathing. For you perhaps it is timely, since you started this thread. Thanks for giving us all something to ponder on our own, personal journeys. :)
