This is my first post to this topic... and music has been my source of inspiration all my life, so I thought (unable to spot "A musical interlude") I'd share some old UK prog. "Space Shanti" by Khan has been one of my faves since its release in the black plactic days.

Gustave Moreau... I love some of his paintings...there is so much detail in them. if you go to his house (it's now a museum) you can see some of his paintings unfinished and thereby see how they were built up. This guy even drew biro on top of oil !

I'd never seen it before either... we should endeavour to keep it in the top 20 !

manet is another favourite of mine. I've stood in front of this picture over fifty times, just taking it all in. Sometimes it would be the only picture I would look at... get to the Musee D'Orsay just before closing. it has a presence and lighting that is not discernable at all from this photo. In real life, the woman almost seems to be still living in that picture. Look out Dorian Gray!
