I was just informed of this story in the following UK paper ... seems quite an incredible video... your views? think it's genuine or hoax?

Hi..
are you playing the actual video which loads on the page after a minute or two.. ? or, like I first did, just looking at the still photo on right? The photo is obviously like a felt tip pen red line, presumably done by the Sun for dramatic effect, but if you watch the video.. well.. I'm not sure how easy THAT would be to fake.. I don;t know, am no UFO expert! |

Interesting link thanks for sharing it, the second least beam of light has a "cut away" or its simply the camera zooming out?
If it wasn't done with effects then its genuine, the skies around me have been VERY cloudy as of late, the stars have been un viewable for the past few months, i see alot of crafts like this one around here but never do they shoot red beams, interesting to see. Note how scared the people were, they maybe believed it was flown by "aliens from outer space" but heck we are to smart for that one, arnt we? |

sorry for posting in wrong place.. I tried to find a UFO heading and couldn't! Hadn't realised Camelot was only place for UFO, so am sorry.
Hey, I'm not really knowledgable/experienced on UFO stuff, was posting to see what you think?? I've no idea what is real or not (apart from the blindingly obvious fakes on you tube etc!).. please bear with me for my seeming ignorance! Blessings |

With it being a mobile phone vid it is even more liekly to have vertical or horizontal lines suddenly. what it gives it a bit more credit is that the line stops at the light. The problem is its really easy to edit and also they removed the sound and never saw the lines of light until they played it back i presume.
and i hate The Sun, terrible tabloid but i like the fact they pay attention to UFO issues so much, which in turn could also attract hoaxes Okay hate is a heavy word. I mean i dislike celebrity culture tabloids ![]() Last edited by Mike_Jetson; 11-06-2008 at 11:22 PM. |

you could not print what i think of tabloids.
But as a tool to condition the masses for eventual partial disclosure it's a must. This is the second time a bristol UFO story has appeared in the mainstream media. What about the turkish footage ! even better when it's headline news BBC/ITN/SKY then i think we will be getting somewhere. eh blossom your lightship just turned up ! |

I'm wondering if the lights were beamed over an army base.
There have been reports of missiles being turned off by beams from ships on few occasions, one during test a launch even, and if there isn't any missiles there, its could be that they are secret.... maybe. Remember Rendlesham forest for example, cant remember the others off the top of my head, i think it was on the disclosure project. ![]() |

Basically this is what they did for me, but green and horizontal and maybe 50-100 feet long. Maybe there was a person on the ground with a red laser and they were just saying hello to wake them up as well.

just seen this... another red-beam shotting UFO, this reported in Canada today:
http://www.hbccufo.org/modules.php?n...ticle&sid=5366 also, a second, new and separate reported story and video of same thing in the Sun (yes, I know, the height of intelligent journalism!) http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage...cle1913160.ece am still not sure what I think of these.. but they do strike me as odd.. especially as now there are 2 separate videos of same thing from different UK areas and also reports from Canada too! |

There have been reports from various sources over the years of beams terminating in mid air-i can't bring them to reference presently but i have come across similar a while ago.One was a mexican contactee who's photos are reported as some of the best ever-the ufos that are glowing amber with red stripes around them-the ufos were static for hours like light ships;i forget the guy's name.

I DO believe that this video was never edited. I don't have a camera on my cell phone, so I couldn't tell you what happened to it between when it left the phone and got to the internet, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't edited.
Now, I do NOT believe that these videos depict ET's firing beams to earth. I believe this was a glitch in the cell phone's camera. As you know, monitors (including cell phones) buffer from top-left to bottom-right (the same way we read English). The reason this is still most likely a glitch, even though the lines stop at the lights, is that when the buffer of a small phone, currently writing images from raw input, reaches the x pixel of the light, say, 5 pixels wide, it would continue on to write black pixels to the end of the screen. On the next row, after reaching the same few x pixels, the phone's rendering engine making an attempt at pixel interpolation of the sudden change between which and black (light and sky) because of image expansion could cause the rest of the y buffer for that range of x values to be "corrupted", if you will, and register some rgb exaguration of the light (explaining red/white color). Sorry to kill the buzz, but...I mean, this video was stickied and I felt it was a bit insignificant, if you know what I mean. You could just sum it all up by saying it's a "bad quality" glitch. I DO, however, believe that these were UFO's. Pretty good video of them, at that. Last edited by Omniscience; 11-16-2008 at 06:51 AM. |
