My inbox (thunderbird) has an email with the date 12-31-1969 @ 6:00 p.m. with a blank subject and sender line.

When I highlight the message (no preview pane) in order to check message source, the info page is totaly blank. Message has no digital signature & is not encrypted.

Of course I'm curious, but am not opening. Anyone have a clue?

Can anybody tell me on how to post a new thread? I've been checking this site multiple times, but can't seem to find this obvious tool?

I think you already have implemented my best advice....JUST KILL IT!!

Anything unsolicited and just plain weird...I don't preview it...I just delete

The easiest way I know how is click on the the FORUM link on the right side of the page....choose the forum in which you wish to post..

After you go there...roll to the very LEFT hand bottom...you'll see POST new topic link....then POST away

Mudra,

Here's an example of how to do it, okay.

This is a regular youtube video link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jSEidIPD66Y

Do you notice after the "=" sign, the letters and numbers are in bold.

All you do is copy those numbers after the equal sign (bold), don't copy what is before.

Then put it between these bracket codes, below:

HTML Code:
[youtube] [/youtube]

Also, if you get this after the video number, for example: &feature=topvideos

Delete that too, if it shows up.

Hope this helps.

Thank you Majorion and Stargazer.
So

1) do I paste this in the window that opens up when I hit the blue icon top of my posting window .
The one where we enter URLs ?

2) which key on my keyboard makes these special brackets that wrap " you tube " . I only know these ones ( ....) ?

Thank you

Yeah, from your browser's URL bar, just copy the video number, it comes after the equals sign.

you mean these [[[ ]]]] ?

On my keyboard, it comes right next to letter P

Well its good that you can at least insert the [brackets] using one of the buttons in the "compose post".

But it still doesn't work?

Have you made sure the video number is accurate? .. you must NOT include/copy "XJ0_VU5Kqyg&feature=topvideos"

See the part in bold, do not copy that part.

I think you already understand this, but just to make sure.

This is an example of how do it exactly:

HTML Code:
[youtube]XJ0_VU5Kqyg[/youtube]

The result:

It will be blank (white square) if you make even the slightest mistake with the video number.

Hello dear Majorion and thank you again for your help,

I understand well the instructions .
However I run across a new problem here:
I don't have a compose button in my message box.
When I go to edit options and I set the message Editor interface on " enhanced interface- full WYSIWYG Editing " it does not give me more options than the " standard editing " one.

I am using Safari and Firefox . The situation remains the same on both

The buttons I get on both browsers are :

Remove text formatting
Bold
Italic
Underline
Colors
insert URL
Insert image
Quote
and an additional " switch editor mode " with Firefox

Any ways to change this ?

Love from me
mudra

This might help

If you click on wrap (quote,php,code...etc) tags....you will get the [ ] with something written inside (depends on what you click). Delete that and write youtube in 1st and /youtube in 2nd

Mudra if you are using English language (for the keyboard) than the [ ] is on the letters right of P.

If you are using some other language for your keyboard the sign [ is most likely somewhere else or requires the combination of keys to show it s*hift + something for example...

If you have a mac...than it might be something else...cant help with anything that relates to macs.

Well I'm using the "standard editor".

You don't need enhanced interface to post youtube vids.

I thought this may have been the source of your problem, but when I tested myself and switched to 'enhanced' on my account, its the same result, I am still able to post videos.

Guess the real problem is I'm not too familiar with Mac. So I don't know how it looks or how to configure with your system.

Ok friends when I enter the figures of the vid in the url box it comes out like this :

bracket URL="AHGEx12X1Mk" bracket AHGEx12X1Mk bracket /URL bracket

and here is the vid I wanted to post :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHGEx...layer_embedded

can you tell me where exactly in that line I should type the brackets with Youtube in it ?
I looked all around my keyboard and these special brackets are no where to be found.
Only through the word program on " insert symbol " can I get them .
I am finding the idea of Sregovori helpfull so I could use the brackets found in the wrap quote button.

Thank you friends

Love from me
