Default Sobering thought

If we Avalonians wish to influence the thoughts of the world at large, we have an up-hill task ahead of us.

World population is around 6,748,900,000 and rising rapidly.
Avalon membership is around 6939 and rising gradually.

Each and every one of us would have to influence around one million people.
I would personally be stretching the truth if I could lay claim to even having one hundred friends and family let alone ten thousand times that many.

Talking Re: Sobering thought

Always knew I was 1 in a million.

Out of the 6939 avalon members there must be only a couple of hundred that post. That is quite a task. Maybe Camelot could give the forum another plug on their blog. More people = more fun, more exchanging of wisdom.

We need some more members from India to represent that huge chunk of the population.

Need some African members! I don't know of any.

Japan.?

South America has no-one that I've seen other than Steve A if he's even still with us.

Any Russians who speak english? we'd love to have you onboard the Mothership.

The majority of Australian members only post within the Sydney or Melbourne threads... come out of the closet guys, don't be shy.. Brinty won't bite.

Well Brinty and Mr. 1 in a Million, good thoughts and figures. But let's not

feel we're all alone in this. There are millions of light bearers holding vigil all

around the Earth. Avalon is one facet. And also, who knows how many have a

look at this forum and read just one thread or post and open up to new

ways? Some day we'll know, but right now we have to go on faith, it seems.

I believe certain people in my life are light warriors, including my former teacher that died last week. Therefore, anyone you know could be a light warrior. Think about the influence that they've had on those that they know. If it's positive, life-changing influence, then chances are that they are here on a mission of sorts.

I'm not sure what the "official" definition of that word is but I believe that if we are at these forums for a reason, that perhaps we were meant to be here and we all are on a mission of sorts. The best way I can help others that I know is to be a positive force in their lives and share what I have learned with them.

6,748,900,000 ... appears to be an incredibly large number ...

6,939 ... appears to be insignificant in comparison to the above ...

drop the figures ... they are only numbers ... can make the task at hand feel unattainable ...

come to know your truth ... it can be accomplished ... focus on what you yourself can do for the benefit of bringing awareness to your family ... your friends ... your co-workers ...

how about your neighborhood ... your community ...

how about focusing on baby steps ... allowing yourself to feel the accomplishments of bringing awareness to those immediately around you ...

speak your truth ... from your heart ... it will not only be heard ... it will spread ... to another ... and another ... the effect of positive energy rippling outwards cannot be imagined by us sometimes ... we forget ... but it is so ... it is real ...

in the interim ... your truth you will come to know with greater clarity ... you will begin to live it ... and that is when ... this world to you will no longer be representative of such a large number ... your truth won't even parallel to a number at all ...

you will then feel this world ... your world ... can fit in the palm of your hand ... you can hold it there ... what would you wish to do with it ...

you will want to bring peace to it ... and there it will be ... within your hand ...

and you will feel within you ... not how can the task at hand possibly be accomplished ...

rather ... you will feel ... how can it not be ...

brinty ... you are correct ... you don't have 100 friends ... you have at least 101 ... count me in ...

There is a phenomenon known as the Raj Effect whereby the square root of 1% of a population is large enough to have an influence on the whole. It was demonstrated in a prison setting when a number representing that percentage of that population meditated daily. Researchers were able to demonstrate a concurrent drop in violence by something like 70% in that institution during the experiment. It makes sense when you think of how few there are at the top, controlling so much of what happens in the world.
The square root of 1% of world population estimates is somewhere between 8-9,000 people. Not a lot, really.
This is, I think, part of the aim of the Nexus meditations. I have no doubt our numbers are ample enough to do what needs to be done. It's hard to say for sure, but I think we (and I don't mean just us here at Avalon) may have already had some effect. There are plenty of people who would have things be much worse already for the rest of us.

Question Re: Sobering thought

I was typing a reply to Bushycat in this thread about an hour ago when BAM! the whole screen went white.. I repeatedly refreshed and tried to reload different pages of Avalon on other tabs and windows.. nothing but WHITE.

The rest of the internet was working perfectly for me at the same time.

Did Avalon just ascend to the new server??

Anyone else experience missing time, or get thrown off Avalon around 11:11 (east australian time)?

Oh futureyes, you always manage lift me up out of the holes I seem to dig myself into. I never lose faith - I just sometimes forget where I put it and your light always finds it for me.

Thank you my hundred-and-first friend.

Also, Dear Brinty One-In-A-Million and Mr. One-In-A-Million Luminari, here's

a quick take on some spreading of good vibes in your immediate vicinity.

Rollin McCraty does studies about the heart's electromagnetic field and

heart-brain interconnections. When we are experiencing joy, like at

sunset time, or love, like seeing our child or lover or animal, our hearts are

broadcasting. http://oneminuteshift.com/videos/rollin-m (click on Featured Video)

I think many of the gorgeous images posted on some Avalon threads bring

this about.

Aloha, Bushy

I think the key is not influencing the thoughts of others but opening them up to the possibilities. If you can open one mind then you have achieved a wonderful accomplishment. That mind you opened might be the next prophet of our time.

Yes, and we just never know how we have done that. You could say

something like "The moon is blue.",and it might ignite something.

I often think that the ones who sparked lights for me were not

aware of it.

Japan.?
Hi Luminari and Brinty!
(First time to post here on this forum.)

I live in Japan, I am Japanese (and Canadian) by nationality.

I guess that there are many Japanese people who are reading threads on the forums of Avalon and Camelot, but a lot of us are unable to keep up with the fast paced discussion most of the time.

But that does not mean few Japanese are interested in the theme that Avalon and Camelot deal with. In fact, there are numerable discussion boards that talk about those things in depth - it's just that they are in Japanese.

And so Brinty, please do not despair.
Everywhere, people are starting to become aware of the hidden truths and talking about it.

Here is what I would recommend to you...

Always look on the bright side of life
