the significance of the 4 fingers in this gorgeous production?

(and to realize that they're all deaf... this requires amazing focus, I think)

I've always wanted to do that, but don't know where to procure such a thing. Same goes for Peyote and Ayahuasca too.

Very cool, but why do you think they're all deaf? It didn't say anything in the info.

I like the explanation with the video:

Quote:
As long as you are kind and there is love in your heart
A thousand hands will naturally come to your aid
As long as you are kind and there is love in your heart
You will reach out with a thousand hands to help others

.Guan Yin is the bodhisattva of compassion, revered by Buddhists as the Goddess of Mercy. Her name is short for Guan Shi Yin. Guan means to observe, watch, or monitor; Shi means the world; Yin means sounds, specifically sounds of those who suffer. Thus, Guan Yin is a compassionate being who watches for, and responds to, the people in the world who cry out for help.

Friends,

It's thursday I am off to Avebury to attend the nexus meditation.
I'll only be back on monday.
In the meantime keep the forum warm , call back your friends if you are
missing them.. Open a thread for you to speak with them and let them
know they count for you...
That's what I did back when forum went on subscription as many had gone.
And many came back.

May you all do well.
Always with you within the LOVE flow.

Kindness

Quite literally, it was my spiritually that led me to my DMT experiences. But to give you a short cut to a proper Ayahuasca experience, check out:

http://www.wasai.com/ayahuasca-birding.htm#Ayahuasca

I can't find the one I got my Ayahuasca from but there are many packages around just look for them. As for DMT I can't quite speak on that because It is illegal in my state, but if you look for it, it will show up eventually. However, I hear that it is easily made from a bark.

I think the four elongated fingers are just 'amplifications' for the stage, so they can be seen more easily by the audience. Guan Yin is revered in China! Her appearance is varied. This thousand arm and eye performance is very cool...

"One Buddhist legend presents Guan Yin as vowing to never rest until she had freed all sentient beings from samsara, reincarnation. Despite strenuous effort, she realized that still many unhappy beings were yet to be saved. After struggling to comprehend the needs of so many, her head split into eleven pieces. Amitabha Buddha, seeing her plight, gave her eleven heads with which to hear the cries of the suffering. Upon hearing these cries and comprehending them, Avalokitesvara attempted to reach out to all those who needed aid, but found that her two arms shattered into pieces. Once more, Amitabha came to her aid and appointed her a thousand arms with which to aid the many."

Watch some of the links to the right. This is a specific troupe of deaf dancers.
Here's a marvelous Rueyters TV interview with them and how they do what they do.
