Pole Shift - Yes or No?
There have been a number of sources that point towards an inevitable pole shift, while others say that we can prevent that from happening.
What do you think? Will there be a pole shift on or around December 21, 2012? Last edited by recallone; 04-06-2009 at 09:23 PM. |

I think this is a great thread and I can't wait to hear from those who have info about keeping this from happening!!

Re: Pole Shift - Yes or No?
It's happened many times before, here's an article with all the info!
Alternation of the Earth's magnetic polarity. The Earth's internal magnetic field reverses, on average, about every 300,000 to 1 million years. This reversal is very sudden on a geologic time scale, apparently taking about 5,000 years. The time between reversals is highly variable, sometimes less than 40,000 years and at other times as long as 35 million years. No regularities or periodicities have yet been discovered. A long interval of one polarity may be followed by a short interval of opposite polarity http://www.answers.com/topic/geomagnetic-reversal I don't think anything can be done about it, it's a natural thing that's always been going on, and we've survived it before! The sun also swithes poles all the time, in fact every 7 to 15 years. |

Re: Pole Shift - Yes or No?
Thanks, Dan. I've also seen plenty of evidence to support the inevitability of such an event, but there are some that say we can change it this time. I personally doubt it's an avoidable occurence, especially with all of the volcano and earthquake activity we've been seeing lately. Precursors, no?

Re: Pole Shift - Yes or No?
If you're talking about a continental pole shift, here's an article................
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pole_shift_hypothesis Here's another one, there seems to be a whole lot of theories out there on continental pole shift....... http://www.crystalinks.com/poleshifts.html |

Pole shift coupled with a new mini ice age is my vote.
I began to suspect some thing when Global warming became 'Climate Change'. |

Re: Pole Shift - Yes or No?
And then this is where it gets even more complicated. At the time of the 'shift', will those prepared for the shift into 4th or even 5th density even have to worry about things like food, water, shelter, and . . . uh, big furry coats? Or will that be the dilema for people still attached to 3d?

if i had another quarter ... i'd place it on individuals awakened and moving into fourth and fifth densities to trust they will have what they will require and it will be so ... and if i could find just one more quarter in my pocket ... i'd place it on individuals choosing to remain in 3d having to do some cramming for their reality based exams coming up ... as for the ice age occuring ... i've run out of quarters ... |

Re: Pole Shift - Yes or No?
According to Hapgood (FWIW). most pole shifts are in the nature of 30 degrees. (which may well be why we see the seed vault at over 60 degrees)

Re: Pole Shift - Yes or No?
Well I just tied it up! I for one think there is an 80% chance it will happen. And as to the people who say it can be avoided, stopped, etc, they are insane. Unless that have some secret device which can control the magnetic field and/or core of the planet as a whole.

Re: Pole Shift - Yes or No?
Lorien - while I agree that there is compelling evidence that proves it has not only happened before, and signs that indicate it will likely happen again, I also recognize that we vastly underestimate our own power.
"There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, Than are dreamt of in your philosophy." There are more than a few people who would call me insane because I believe that we're going to jump dimensions in the not-too-distant future. Or because I believe our governments are poisoning us, or because I believe that alien civilizations are here, within the earth,.... The list goes on.... I guess what I'm trying to say is that nothing is really absolute. The only truth that's valid is the one that exists right now. The rest is transient and speculative. I'm just really curious as to what the actual split is in this forum. So far, it's surprisingly even. |

And your right, nothing is finite. Who knows, maybe if we as a civilization can expand our awareness fast enough and learn to focus our energies and harmonize with the planet, we can in fact ask our mother earth to stop such a destructive episode. |

Re: Pole Shift - Yes or No?
I think yes. First half of 2011. By 3 - 30 degrees.
Get prepared. If it doesnt happen thats awesome! I will be soooo happy to be wrong. But I am leaving the city in a few weeks. And starting to make my preparations which should be fully in place by the end of next year 2010. |

Re: Pole Shift - Yes or No?
YES , I do believe that we are in for some major earth changes in the near future ,whether that be "pole shift", or "CME" or "galactic energy wave" or whatever. Pole shift & CMEs etc,,,,are naturally occuring and are part of the larger cycles. Yeah I believe everything moves in cycles. I also believe in "hope for the best but prepare for the worse" Aside from that...the BEST thing we can do is to not live in fear but to look to the love in your heart and the love that is within all of us. To live from within. Teach our kids to do the same.

Thats a good question , So..your saying that IF enough people were to consciously think positively ,,think of love, think of all that is good instead of living & perpetuating fear, can this be avoided ? I dont know. Ive been doing a lot of reading on the mayan calender, more importantly the evolution of consciousness , And that the energy that you put out bad or good (happy , sad , love whatever), others feel & receive this..whether they know it or not. THis feels true to me. Ive seen it happen & Ive had it happen to me. I have hard time verbalizing this. This video explains it better than I. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mDN6ZcZ0y9I Love to all Shred |

Re: Pole Shift - Yes or No?
Its possible I guess but extremely unlikely in our case.
I don't have the answers, but I heed the warnings and signs. We will have to cross what I perceive as the 'danger zone' dec 2010 - mar 2013 together. |
