Thanks for that I had never heard of him before. Awesome stuff.
Here are a few versions of Paganini's Caprice no 5 Violin Electric Guitar: Steel String Guitar: Classical Guitar: That steel stringer from Canada is my fave of the bunch. |

Re: A musical interlude
Phtha i agree the steel stringer takes the prize, the classical dude is a close second but he gets a lot of points taken away
for adding reverb in "post production" (he's in a garage, not an airplane hanger!) |

Re: A musical interlude
Yah that classical guitarist from Caprice 5 was insanly fast, especially with his chromatic scale up and down the neck and strings, most people play that part all hammer on and hammer off, he was just flying, but I think the reverb did it in for me too.
Here is 2 versions of Paganini's Caprice #24. They are both played on the classical guitar but they contrast nice with each other as the musicians have a completely different play style from each other. Eliot Fisk plays with lots of passion and risk taking, risk taking meaning it is being played outside of what a musician would consider a safe zone so the risk for a misplayed note can be quite considerable. The other player, Li Jie, is conservative and more relaxed but at the same time she is absolutely flawless in execution. First the risk taker, I had the pleasure of seeing this guy play live when he was in Canada a few years back. He plays the song in roughly 4 and a half minutes. Next Li Jie, the same song but it takes about 3 minutes longer then fisk: For me.. it is a tough call but I would have to go Li Jie, just because of how she plays so effortlessly, just like she is sitting down having a cup of tea or something. |

Re: A musical interlude
I put music on both threads so I can pick up music for whichever area I'm at
in the Forum and I want to change songs... I always have music playing in the background... Usually the Sub, is kickin' P r e t t y Hard when I'm reading or posting on the Forum. If your thread is slow we can change that ! And the Lounge is a wonderful place to Visit... I normally just go in to grab music, I don't stick around... AND, sometime you even have people under the tables. hi... hi... Thank you, for the reminder... And, FYI... I like the Location of your Place right in the middle of the Block... Ideal, just jumpin' in to to grab a quick ' Piece ' before headin' out to read Don't cha know... When I git ta postin' I got to post stuff that has some K I C K to it.... Did You ever sit on a " Sub Wolfer ".... Your A S S feels like your sitting on a " Harley "... When it REALLY ' Thumps.' Sorry... I'll make a point of stopping by... Trooly, Tango [QUOTE=Luminari;192967] Right, I see... this is where everyone went, Lounge not good enough for you.
