Default "Uk terror threat increased" Here we go again!

Within the last few days statements made about terror threats in the Uk have been announced on tv news channels.
M15 are now employing and training 60,000 people to help with this possible scenario, all walks of life, shop workers, office workers and many more are being taught how to look for suspicious characters and possible bomb threats.
Are we gearing up for a secret army or is this just another maybe scenario.
This is the first time that the MI5 have been mentioned.

Nuclear terror threat 'increased'

The counter-terrorism document will go into more detail than ever before

There is an increased risk terrorists could get hold of chemical, biological and nuclear weapons to attack the UK, the Home Office has said.

The assessment comes as Home Secretary Jacqui Smith unveiled a new UK strategy to tackle an evolved terrorist threat.

It warns failed states such as Iraq have made it easier to obtain materials for weapons such as dirty bombs.

Ms Smith said the threat is "severe" - meaning an attack is "highly likely" and "could happen without warning".

Dirty bomb

The BBC's home affairs correspondent, Daniel Sandford, said chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear weapons "have always been something al-Qaeda have aspired to" but the report warns they are now within terrorists' grasp.

"There is a concern now among officials in the Home Office that the chances of them getting hold of this material have increased in a world of failed states, in a world of easy availability of radiological material in hospitals and in a world of greatly increased smuggling of these kinds of materials."

He added that the greatest concern was not over an attack by a nuclear warhead, but with a so-called dirty bomb which could contaminate a wide area and trigger panic.

Mr Sandford also said the report warned the al-Qaeda leadership "could well be killed or captured, but that doesn't mean the threat would go away" because new groups and affiliates had sprung up that adhered to their ideology.

However, in one ray of optimism in the report, he said there was a suggestion the threat level could be down-graded over the coming year.

Ms Smith said to fight this evolved threat, the UK could not just rely on police and intelligence agencies.

She said "terrorists will try to stay one step ahead of us" and that counter-terrorism was "no longer something you can do behind closed doors and in secret".

The home secretary said Whitehall needed "to enlist the widest possible range of support", and the new UK terror strategy includes training 60,000 workers in vigilance for terrorist activity and what to do in an attack, among them shop and hotel workers.

TERROR THREAT LEVELS
Low - an attack is unlikely
Moderate - an attack is possible but not likely
Substantial - strong possibility of an attack
Severe - an attack is highly likely
Critical - an attack is expected imminently

She added: "We've made sure that we've invested the resources, built the people - both in the police and in the agencies - and built the widest partnership necessary to give us the best chance of being able to deal with that threat."

She told the BBC: "We can't tackle terrorism simply from Whitehall. I don't think tackling terrorism is simply something we can rely on our police and intelligence agencies to do, brilliant though they are - we need to enlist the widest possible range of support."

Ms Smith said the "extremely broad-ranging" strategy would include:

Training workers in counter-terrorism vigilance and response
Tackling anti-democratic extremist voices in the community
Supporting mainstream pro-democratic Muslim voices
Preventing access to internet information on setting up attacks
More funding for anti-terror police and intelligence resources
The new counter-terrorism document also talks about the need to "challenge those who reject the rights to which we are committed, scorn the institutions and values of our parliamentary democracy, dismiss the rule of law and promote intolerance".

A senior Whitehall source said Muslim leaders who urged separation would be isolated and publicly rejected, even if their comments fell within the law.

We need to use all the powers of the mind and the tongue to challenge those who propagate a violent philosophy

Maajid Nawaz, Quilliam Foundation

That idea was backed by Maajid Nawaz - a former member of the Islamist group, Hizb ut-Tahrir - who now heads the counter-terrorism think-tank, the Quilliam Foundation.

Mr Nawaz told the BBC: "We as a government and a society have tolerated for too long people that have advocated a violent philosophy.

"Though they haven't lifted a finger themselves, that violent philosophy has then been adopted by others who have lifted a finger.

"The point I'm making is that we need to not just use all the powers of law enforcement to stop those who are actively trying to harm civilians, but also we need to use all the powers of the mind and the tongue to challenge those who propagate a violent philosophy."

But the Tories have said not enough action is being taken against extremists.

'Fresh thinking'

Shadow home secretary Chris Grayling said: "The horrific recent events in Mumbai have highlighted the need for fresh thinking in counter-terrorism - and the whole community needs to be involved in tackling the danger.

"No part of the UK is free from threat - and we know that terrorists want soft targets. But we have argued strongly that the government is not doing enough to tackle the problem of individuals and groups in the UK who are fostering the hatred and extremism that lies behind the terrorist threat. That really does have to change".

The paper - called Contest Two - will update the Contest strategy developed by the Home Office in 2003, which was later detailed in the Countering International Terrorism document released in 2006.

By 2011, Britain will be spending £3.5bn a year on counter-terrorism, the Home Office has said.

The number of police working on counter-terrorism has risen to 3,000 from 1,700 in 2003.

The result of our economic world wide down swing is this goods are not moving or at least there is a lot less of it moving . How does one smuggle any of these weapons into a country with all the extra security and less goods on the move we the people have to hold security and government agencies more accountable for any false flag there is no way anything should get by inspectors at this point in the game . So in the event of a terrorist false flag any government official should be made to step down including Ministers and Prime Ministers

Yes Northern Boy but i think as always these fear scenarios are just that fear based, upping the fear factor brings about this whole "WE need more security"
I feel this is another of those situations.

Its probably just in response to the possible G-20 summit coming up and possible civilian unrest they are anticipating and might in fact stage an event to clamp down and introduce measures to control the population. curfews and such . What they don`t realize is that for every police officer out there , there is 900 of us .

I understand-the problem is that amongst the 900 of us there are 899 asleep.
I also agree that there should be no terrorist attack from anywhere now-it has to be false flag as you say so the powers that be should be held accountable not the cattle.

Perhaps there is a correlation between the increased threat and the following article:

UK population must fall to 30m, says Porritt

Not necessarily!
However - if you see 'Soylent Green Wafers' on the supermarket shelves start worrying
Let's put some of these anti-Viagra meds out there quickly:
Mycoxafloppin, Mycoxafailin, and in't toothpaste Mydixadrupin - and hopefully the population explosion will - er - drop

During the Afghanistan war, the UK government brought over to the UK (outer Hebrides) and trained in weapons, covert warfare and ground to air anti aircraft weapons a large number of islamic jihadists. Thats not conjecture but absolute fact.

Now these jihadists are turning it against their former puppet masters, well, lets just say 'what a way to run a rail way'.

Thanks for posting this Jacqui.

David Icke has also reported that they are even training traffic cops to use such weapons as tasers and battons so they could be used as a reserve force if needed.

Theres no need to police a people when you can manipulate them to police themselves.

Over here in Ireland things are quite thank god. There isnt any increased police force apart from maybe a few new recruits here and there. It almost feels as if were in a bubble where the outside mayhem is concerned.

Default Police Arrest 300 in Paris Riots Over Economic Crisis

Police Arrest 300 in Paris Riots Over Economic Crisis

Source: http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/standa...sis/article.do

Peter Allen in Paris
3/20/2009

MORE than 300 rioters were arrested in Paris as baton-wielding gangs clashed with police in protests over President Nicolas Sarkozy's handling of the financial crisis.

At least 10 police officers were seriously injured in the Place de la Nation, in the east of the French capital, where 85,000 people completed a largely peaceful protest.

Nationally, some three million showed their anger at President Sarkozy.

As fires were lit and shop windows smashed soon after 8pm last night, riot police unleashed rounds of tear gas at a mob of about 750 youths.

Fighting broke out on all corners of the square, with police snatch squads moving in to arrest ring leaders. Chants of "Sarkozy resign" were heard, as what appeared to be well organised gangs went on the rampage in surrounding streets, targeting banks and other symbols of capitalism.

By midnight there had been at least 300 arrests, with 49 charged with serious public order offences.

A report released by Paris police said 100 members of the mob had been "particularly violent" and were armed with batons and metal bars.

Disturbances broke out in other major cities, including Marseille and Toulouse, with tear gas and baton charges also being used to control crowds in Saint-Nazaire on the Brittany coast.

Earlier demonstrations combined with a general strike brought more than three million people on to the streets across the country, trade unions claimed.

While police estimates were lower the figure was expected to beat the two million who protested at the end of January. Schools, courts, post offices, universities and hospitals were closed, with public transport severely disrupted, as up to 200 marches were organised.

The latest strike has wide support across the country, with 75 per cent of those questioned in polls this week saying they feared for their future and supported industrial action.

President Sarkozy announced proposals, including tax breaks and social benefits, after January's strike but protesters said the £2.3billion deal was not enough.

He rejected mounting calls by unions and the opposition for him to suspend a 50 per cent cap on income tax, arguing it would drive wealthy taxpayers abroad. Many are angry that companies such as oil giant Total are making staff redundant while simultaneously announcing record profits.

ON APRIL 1ST, WE'LL SHOW THE G20 WHAT MELTDOWN MEANS

Lost your home? Lost your job? Lost your savings or your pension? This party is for you!

Source: http://www.g-20meltdown.org/

Capitalism has been heating up our world for years, melting the icecaps, burning up the rainforests, pushing the planet to tipping point. Now we're going to put the heat on them. At the London Summit , the G20 ministers are trying to get away with the biggest April Fools trick of all time. Their tax-dodging, bonus-guzzling, pension-pinching, unregulated free market world's in meltdown, and those fools think we're going to bail them out. They've gotta be joking!

We can't pay, we won't pay and we are taking to the streets

Many, many imaginative actions will be taking place across London on April 1st. One major focus will be four separate carnival parades culminating in direct action against the financial follies in the City of London among them carbon trading.

Full circle back to 1649? 'A very English revolution!'

The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse will lead themed processions starting at 11 a.m. from the following rail stations:

Quote:
Moorgate
Red horse against War;
Liverpool St
Green horse against Climate chaos
London Bridge
Silver horse against Financial crimes
Cannon Street
Black horse against land enclosures and borders in honour of the 360th full circle anniversary of the Diggers
At 12 noon, April 1st, we're going to reclaim the City, thrusting into the very belly of the beast: the Bank of England.

Early a.m. April 2nd, we're going to bang on their hotel doors, @ the Excel Centre, Canning town to deliver our message of a world beyond capitalism.

I HOPE THEY KEEP THIS PEACEFUL!!!!
