Default Chinese worried about thier US assets

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/bu...s-1644971.html

Quote:
Mr Wen said: "We have made a huge amount of loans to the United States. Of course, we are concerned about the safety of our assets. To be honest, I'm a little bit worried. I would like to call on the United States to honour its words, stay a credible nation and ensure the safety of Chinese assets."
Repeat for emphasis:

... we are concerned about the safety of our assets.
... and ensure the safety of Chinese assets.

The Chinese don't mess around with their assets.

Perhaps they should do an ass-kicking of our corrupt leaders instead of targeting the people themselves.

Somehow...the whole world needs to get out of debt...and stay out of debt. We also need to get out of all wars...and stay out of war. The two are interrelated. We need to completely transition away from destructive competition...to constructive competition. Our world is highly irresponsible. This needs to change. NOW. I agree with all of the above posters.

Remember this in 1839 - 1842 :

British worried about the outflow of their silver assets. Opium trade was once an ideal solution.

Hi Anchor,

It seems that the Chinese government is starting to show that they are a little edgy (rightly so) about the US.

Over the last few weeks they have been making comments tip toeing around trying not to make too much noise, mentioning about the UN contribution that the US apparently hasn't made and also testing the water by suggesting that they could start selling the treasury bonds that they have in hand.

If they started to sell US bonds, that would lead to a world wide catastrophy as it would trigger panic selling from all the other countries that hold them.

We could see some fireworks.

Best regards,

Steve

I have been aware that China have the keys to the downfall of the global economy for several years.

I wondered from time to time why they didn't anything earlier, but I remembered that having a world of customers, its best to keep them going for as long as possible.

Maybe now China now recognize that that "The Rest of the World plc" is past its best before date in its ability to buy thier stuff?

Getting out of debt is easy if you know what to do when you apply for a credit card with a $5000.00 limit think of it differently instead of looking at it as credit you merely sold your signature for the equivalent amount

The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan must end immediately. Debt forgiveness should be mandatory and while we're at it, institute NESARA.

Sadly, I'm not sure that any of this will ever happen. I think we need to look at a different approach to these issues.
