October was originally the Eighth month of a 10 month year. [OCT]
November -9 [NOV]
December -10 [DEC]

I guess, technically tomorrow will be 8-8-8 [888]

Not too many actually know this.

Here is a nice, concise explanation:

Quote:
“The name of 'October' comes from the Latin word for eight. 'October' was the eighth month in the Roman calendar. The Romans apparently borrowed their first calendar from the Greeks. The earliest known Roman calendar consisted of 10 months and a year of 304 days. The Romans seem to have ignored the remaining 60 days, which fell in the middle of winter. The 10 months were named Martius, Aprilis, Maius, Junius, Quintilis, Sextilis, September, October, November, & December. The last six names were taken from the words five, six, seven, eight, nine and ten. Romulus, the legendary first ruler of Rome, is supposed to have introduced this calendar about 738 B.C. Two months, January and February, were added later to the calendar by the Roman ruler Numa and eventually placed at the beginning so that the number months have since then appeared in the calendar out of their proper order.”

Some time ago a group of hyper-intelligent pan dimensional beings decided to finally answer the great question of Life, The Universe and Everything.
To this end they built an incredibly powerful computer, Deep Thought. After the great computer programme had run (a very quick seven and a half million years) the answer was announced.

The Ultimate answer to Life, the Universe and Everything is...

(You're not going to like it...)

Is...

42

Which suggests that what you really need to know is 'What was the Question?'.

This sounds like an episode of Futurama.

Actually the OP never really posed a question.
I was answering freeze -on how tomorrow could be considered 8/8/8.
I believe the Question posed by Kahunamahalo is from Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy?

edit to add:
Having fun with it.
8x3= 24
24 is the mirror image of 42.

I think 08-08-08 was rather significant

wasn't that the day that WW3 was attempted?
