I saw the whole movie once. it is really beautiful. It is based on the story by James Curwood ( I do not remember the title, however I remember that the big bear's name was Tyr)...
When I was a child and then a teenager I loved reading Curwood's books. I read all that were translated into Polish...the main characters in his books are animals, mostly wolves.
