Default Big Pharma May be Handed Blanket Immunity for All Drug Side Effects, Deaths

http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.p...t=va&aid=10869

Quote:
In February, the Supreme Court ruled that makers of medical devices were indeed immune from state lawsuits if their devices had received FDA approval. But that decision hinged on the specific wording of the law that gives the FDA authority over medical devices, and the laws relating to drug regulation are not worded the same way.

Even so, the Bush administration has been actively urging the courts to apply the same principle to drugs. The administration argues that only the FDA is equipped to regulate drugs and decide whether a product is safe, and that judges or juries are not able to make informed decisions on those matters.

The FDA has also recently thrown its support behind pre-emption, reversing a longstanding, de-facto policy of viewing lawsuits as an extra layer of oversight to make up for the agency's time and budget constraints. Now the agency says that lawsuits over drug side effects could lead to a confusing state-by-state regulatory patchwork that would cause hardship to drug companies and discourage patients from taking certain medications.
So add that to the push by the FDA to keep supplements out of our hands.

I'm so glad this system is crumbling.

Disgusting! It never fails to amaze me though how human beings insist on giving all their power to so few, why do people let these crazy nut balls have so much control over their lives

ok, but this is the prize to be a product consuming products, u have no rights...the only way out of this is to start not to worry and take the chance to live without safetynet....and it is no problem.....anyway they have had almost this kind of rules long time with vaccines.....but remember that what they are truly saying is that they are not reponsible, and in the long term people will wake up and se how this is working, they are losing their costumers in the long run.....it does not make them safe, it makes them go under by their own tyrranic laws.....

More bad news indeed. They are really passing the craziest laws these days. It seems they are even preparing a law that makes it illegal to think certain things. On the other hand if there is a single supposedly ill effect from something natural like Arnica, it immediately is forbidden. That's what happened in Switzerland.
