Chicago Will Be SHUT DOWN For 6 Days - False Flag?
Chicago Will Be SHUT DOWN For 6 Days - False Flag?
Facing a huge hole in Chicago's current and upcoming budgets, Chicago Mayor Richard Daley announced on Tuesday a plan to partially shut down city government for six days http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.p...xt=va&aid=8165 ---------------------------------------------------- CHICAGO (Reuters) - Facing a huge hole in Chicago's current and upcoming budgets, Mayor Richard Daley announced on Tuesday a plan to partially shut down city government for six days. Along with several other measures, the mayor's plan was aimed at saving $62 million for the city's corporate or operating fund, which currently faces a $469 million shortfall. Under the plan, city employees, with the exception of mostly public safety workers, would not work and would not be paid for the day after Thanksgiving or for Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve this year and in 2009. Daley also said the fiscal 2009 budget he will unveil on Wednesday will eliminate 1,346 currently vacant positions and will include various cost-cutting or revenue-raising measures. http://www.reuters.com/article/domes...rpc=22&sp=true ------------------------------------------------ August 04, 2008 - Martial Law Brewing in Chicago http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5maxJ70jY1M Police planned to increase patrols and put SWAT officers and specialized units on the streets of Chicago over the weekend, a show of force aimed at deterring violence like the three dozen shootings that left nine people dead last weekend. "Weather permitting, we will have our helicopter up," said police spokeswoman Monique Bond, who said Thursday night was relatively quiet, with only four shootings, none fatal. Police Superintendent Jody Weis personally inspected his troops Friday night before they hit the streets of Chicago's South Side neighborhood, kicking off the first weekend of beefed-up patrols to combat the recent wave of violence, reported CBS station WBBM. "We want to let people know that we're not going to allow that flare-up of gang violence that we had last weekend," Weis said. "It's very important for the communities to feel safe, and we want to do everything within our power to make sure the communities remain safe." http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/...n4048069.shtml |

Hello, ever hear of a budget crunch?
The city workers of Chicago used to get paid for every holiday. Now the Mayor is cutting back. Your headline was sensationalist. I live in the burbs of Chicago, and my spouse commutes everday to the city. When sometime really important comes up, let us know. Thanks, Nancy |
