You don't make any sense and need to listen to yourself sometimes! Just my opinion, but lose the swastika, I mean, would you wear that into a job interview? Would you wear that walking down the street?, Would you wear that on your hat?, C'mon man, first impression dude!
This is not a religious end up the world thread. But a poll to kick me out or not. If people won't or can't speak openly as Dan said maybe they can vote...If poll says leave I won't make another peep and admit it is pointless contributing. If majority says no go..I will sail away. If poll says yes I will continue despite naysayers. If poll says no I will quit it. Dan finally made me curious due to such passionate conviction. So here is the chance to make it right then.

I've made enough posts to have active users/voters judge if they want to kick me outta here I think that is fair game.

The fact that bill or a mod have had a dissagreement with the OP doesn't make them right and him wrong, or vice versa.

I think the plejarens are full of it but this Dean fellow strikes me as thoughtful and principled in his recent posting. Unless i've missed something horrible- and i might have - i wouldn't be in a hurry to banish him.

As for the swastika.... Once a metaphysical symbol has been hijacked and dragged through hades as it so recently has by the nazis, it's probably not the brightest idea to present it as the only visible means of identifying oneself on a forum. A lot of baggage is attached in the mass consciousness to the swastika due obviously to the nazi's sacreledge. Might be a bit early for some.

1925 Native American "good fortune" (swastika symbol) quilt. Hidden in storage 70 years because of the Nazi Party's use of the swastika.
Ravenna, MI - August 2004

American swastika

This engraved image from Spiro Mound in Oklahoma also shows a form of the swastika. Also known as the sun wheel, this swastika elaborates upon the Native American concept of the four directions and the four winds, under the "square sky" through which the sun traveled. Image from InnerX.

And on and on and on...plagiarism for evil intent...over and over and over again to confuse and distort and control and fear invoke hate and distrust!

Simply turning love and honor to hate and disrespect...putrid behavior with the only intention of control through fear!

It IS Over!

Because each of Us IS deciding 'now' to live in Love and Honor and Respect in every moment!

Hey Dean,

I guess I think you should stay, but I think this poll is a bit dramatic.
I think any an all view points should have a voice in an open forum (while it still is) as long as the individual has respectful approach (up to a point of course).

Your avatar though, when I first saw it, I thought he must know of it's the ancient reference to the sun, and certainly isn't promoting national socialism, or trying to provoke any misinterperatations.

Then I read this from you elsewhere.

So it seems like you do have this avatar as a conversation piece.
It almost sounds like you were looking for an argument over this when you chose it.

I gotta say I agree w/ Dan on that at least. I mean yes the symbol was positive and now it's generally accepted correlation is the symbol for Geraman national socialism circa mid twentieth century.

Also wether it's right or not some people (don't forget about the lurkers) may form a negative opinion of you right away because of this. It's not really their fault either if maybe they haven't read up on the history of the symbol. It's just a big misunderstanding always waiting to happen.

I do think it's brave in a sense to try and reclaim this symbol, but here I think, it may be more trouble than it's worth.

2 cents worth anyway.

Cheese Louise, get over yourself.

You have much to contribute once you put the food fight behind you and focus on the reason we are here.

Indeed, why are we here. Was it to help each other get ready for hard times, or was it to waste time humping bananas.

I'm within a gnats eyelash of leaving myself. There are half a dozen other boards that I frequent where the people are serious and focused on business. I came here to bring their collected knowledge to people who were new to the game, to give them a jump start.

Maybe I'll run a poll

How old are you, like 16? I don't care if you stay or leave! I've seen you go around and around with mods, like Myplanet2,Anchor,Karen,Carol,Jenny, I've seen how you think there should be no rules, well guess what, without some simple rules this place would turn to chaos.I know you were banned before because of attitude and now you're back, that's fine!, stay as long as you want or until you get banned again. The swastika thing is about first impression, that's all, that's it, if you don't understand it that's o.k., don't bring up my avatar because it has nothing to do with this, my avatar shows I have a sense of humor that's all. I've seen you try and start arguments, in fact you started with me in the...So very few people on Avalon thread, and I backed off because I didn't want to stoop to your level of reasoning. It's o.k. if you stay, really, I don't care.

I am in agreement with raulduke.

last night i voted for you to stay, as kerrys last post had a positive effect upon me,
and i agree with her really.
But yeah, raulduke said it perfectly.

you post certain things for the shock value, and then look forward to someone confronting you about it,

whats that about? seriously.

I agree, make up your own mind- and I thought you had your own forum to run. Good luck whatever the case though.

Make up your mind.....Don't you understand yet why I did this. This poll was for you and your representatives who you were speaking for that couldn't or wouldn't speak out. It was to be fair on you and those who you spoke for. It is also to defend myself against radicalism.

Quote:

As we can see most don't know who I am and don't care what I do. I'm not that important. Your own hate blinded you in your need to lash out for whatever reason. The reason I created the silly poll was because of your complaints in the first place. Yet you feel free to contradict yourself now when it suits you.

No-one is aware what is going on between me and you so they wouldn't have a clue the reason why I created the poll. It's more a matter of defense from harassment, active De-formation and a reaction to make things correct, if there was any sense to your lashing out at all.

I simply do not appreciate being put down for no justified reason on a false basis. Next time instead of contradicting yourself say things that are accurate and not just for the sake of lashing out.

I'll get in the fox hole with anyone to protect their freedom of speech and religion / world view any day. Even the devil worshiper. Especially the devil worshiper. I like devil worshipers. I love to show them the power of Jesus Christ.

For the record, he was originally banned because of posting my private mail on the forum. The ban was not permanent. Regrettably this was not made clear at the time, but it has been since.

In my last few days as moderator, I also issued another infraction against Dean for what I saw as an ad-hominem attack on another member. Also I want to make it clear that because I thought it was an ad-hominem attack, does not make it so, but I thought it was, and was doing my job as a moderator as I saw it at the time.

Dean then posted the text of the infraction at AstroVera. During the debate about what to do, I proposed that all the infractions could be made public in a thread - however, one has to balance some other human factors there.

It has since been stated that the infraction system sucks - the public version of this is alluded to in Kerry's recent announcement. There is definitely mileage in that debate. However it is a moot point as it was consequently disabled. I am no longer a moderator, so I cannot tell if it it was ever re-enabled.

Assuming it has not, no-one, on Avalon at this moment has any "infractions" and cannot now be banned by accruing them.

A..

Ofcourse it's ok for you, you were treated fairly. It was not ok for me what you said as it was naturally disrespectful. Hence my response. I'm the one that should be saying that's o.k to you....As you are the one that has made the mistake.

Just knock over my drink at a bar and tell me it's o.k because your done....

Thank you very much.

Seriously Dan it's ok I don't mind if you learn from it that's what it's all about to learn. But if you are going to do it again I might not have that much respect for you.
