Smile We Finally Made it to Ecuador

Well we are here in our New Home at Hacienda San Joaquin! Our gorgeous New Home is spectacular, and we are so enjoying being among these wonderful people. WE have been blessed that we sold our home and were fortunate enough to purchase the home we have been looking at for years at the Vilcabamba address! We are in Heaven here and removed from the collective very much Off The Reservation and apart from the Collective's radar

Hi efields,

Don't forget to post some photos in your album on your profile page.

It would be interesting to exchange information and ideas as we're both in South America to see how 'our' regions are faring.

Best regards,

Steve

Great news, I know a few ppls who are considering Ecuador as their new home.

How does immigration work there?

Who can move there? anybody or just certain countries?

Peace and enjoy

We have indeed found Shangri La. We loath to ever leave this valley. Hacienda San Joaquin, is the place we will spend the rest of our lives.... Beyond all our expectations and dreams. If you go to their site and look Our home is the one with the red driveway. Lot 4

How much did it cost you to move down there? Did you sell a lot of your personal stuff to ease the move (like furniture, electronics, etc.)?

$215,000 for home and land... 217sqm house and a lot of land too 930sqm....by prices here that would be much higher... let see if the price for 1sqm of land you can build on is 250eur and you manage to get it for less let say 200eur....and 1sqm of house is cca 1000eur the final price here would be 403000EUR which by current exchange is 544815$ But the price for 1sqm of house can quickly change up and so does the final number...

but...i dont even have the money to buy "cheap" ones...

i wonder if you know...what would it cost to buy a land and build the house...i know that here (Europe) it can be much cheaper (if you first buy a land and hire people to built a house) than if you already buy a built house...yes there is more paper work for you and it takes more of your time....but the end result can be thousands of eur less to pay....

How do you plan to support yourself?
Will you have a job?
Will you start a private business?
Do you have savings?
What are the living expenses for one year (food, electricity, water...etc)?
Will you be like and old days farmer - growing your own food?
How are the medical facilities?
What are the medical costs (including dentists)?
Is there any crime there?
Do local people speak English?
Is it a necessity to have a car (distances)?

Oh my goodness!
That is a beautiful home and such a beautiful surroundings. My mother lives in spain and has a mountain less than a mile from her with the same sort of imposing but wonderful view.

I will have to look up Ecuador. Its one of those places i never really delved into. Along with cambodia, argentina etc.
Thank you for sharing your dream come true.

Smile Re: We Finally Made it to Ecuador

I know you can get land and a house in Ecuador for around 30.000$ dollars
So, it is not impossible but unfortinatly I do not even have that.

And since a lost completely the motivation to get another job it was in noway i'm going to move unless i'm instructed to move. But that will be when it is necessary. Earth changes are coming !!!

Wow you did it! I remember you talking about this when everyone wanted to escape to Ecuador! I wanted to go too. It looks amazing! Shake off the matrix and begin your journey.
