Survivors TV Show
Does anyone remember this show?
Well you may be interested to know that it has been remade and will start showing on BBC in HD on 22nd November. The synopsis goes like this:' 'Imagine being the only survivor of a disease that kills every member of your family, that kills lovers, friends, nearly everyone you've ever met. You are among the lonely few to live and now you must start again in a strange new world where everything that was once safe and familiar is now strange and dangerous. Set in the present day, the drama series focuses on the world in the aftermath of a devastating virus which wipes out most of the world's population. What would we do? How would any of us cope in a brave new world where all traditional 21st Century comforts – electricity, clean running water, advanced technology – have disappeared? These are the questions faced by the bewildered but resilient group of survivors at the centre of the drama. It is an opportunity for new beginnings, but with no society, no police and no law and order, they now face terrible dangers – not just the daily struggle for food and water but also the deadly threat from other survivors.' Might be interesting viewing. |

Re: Survivors TV Show
Original was a great show, even though we had to watch it in Black & White
Lets hope they maintain the realism of that one in the new series. Have often discusses the scenario's portrayed with the family. Especially how quickly a virus could spread given the contact between airline passengers transiting at some of the major international airports. |

This reminds me of "28 Days Later" - similar scenario.

Re: Survivors TV Show
Yeah, Hollywood has already provided us with plenty of these types of scenarios.

Re: Survivors TV Show
I just hope it won't be a drama show like Lost. Sounds good, I'll check it out, if you can't watch on TV, just download it.

Re: Survivors TV Show
Funny how it coincides with the flu shots drive init. Of course, it's just a coincidence, nothing to worry about....
I thought it was a decent start, especially the nicely sinister bit at the end. Steve G |
