Re: The Goodbye Thread / Options To stay
I think its good to have a source of income for this site. The process behind it is very worthy, very important. I think a charge will weed out all the unimportant comments and childish bickering and such... well at least some of it, drama in a forum is a natural entity. I dont think a forum would survive without it... I think people who care deeply, and sincerely will stick in and contribute. I think people who have an obvious anti-agenda will stick out, because you would have to think your views were pretty damn important to offer money to spread them. I want to hear the information and views of people who really have things to say. I can make up my own on what information I value or not. I myself dont really have anything educational to contribute. Im just waiting for the time to act, so ill read in the shadows as long as im allowed to.
Enjoy, Roland K |

Re: The Goodbye Thread / Options To stay
Wow, I can't believe this "discussion" is still going on...
If it's true that the majority of the current members are against the subscription concept (mainly based on principal), then I suggest that all who oppose this idea to simply "stand-by" and not pay the fee, a sort of " workers' strike" if you will.... Or in this case, a "posters' strike" No need for rude comments or arguments that will get us nowhere. Maybe this way we can get B & K to reconsider the other options. |

Re: The Goodbye Thread / Options To stay
OK..... already. I know some VERY funny jokes. And Yaquie Indian Jokes too..
Just kidding. I think that the some of the resentment ,some of you feel,is against Bill and Kerry for saying they may try to Go "Down Under" and hunker "Down". And now they need your "viewer support".(Like Jim and Tammy Baker)((JOKE!)) Im listening to Nancy Wilson sing right now.She was "coined" a communist. Outspoken? Who Cares? Commie?...Whatever Pretty Voice? You Betcha. I BOUGHT the right to hear her sing.I DIDNT buy the right to her songs NOR can I buy the right to record it..unless I pay for that RIGHT! What does she do with her money?Finance Cuba? LOLLIke I have a say so.Or Care.I wanna hear her songs. My Point? I personally want to thank the people that have the means to let Bill and Kerry move forward (with donations)...........and continue at the best of everybodies ability to continue keeping the site open..while we ALL get a positive cash flow. .Uh Oh I said it.. the "positive cash flow" thing.... Like money is the true evil...uh oh Positive Cash Flow...If you have that..it at LEAST keeps the wheels turning. Not my rule. The alternative suggestions to create that Flow listed by current members have been noted by me. Smart Bunch you are. Dont mistake anger and frustration with solutions.. They kinda help each other other out. Not my rule. |

Actually, I was just trying to convey the feelings of other members that have mentioned "rudeness" etc... I don't feel personally offended by anyone here.

Re: The Goodbye Thread / Options To stay
He is not doing that. Have a think about all the possible reasons that one may do sucha thing. Tick them all off. Assume that there is some logical rigour involved so you can discount the stupid options.
That said I am not that into cryptic messages - I prefer plain speaking, its pretty easy. So, to sum up, for that point in the future when I am not able to post on this site, GOODBYE! A.. |
