War Vet, 50, Stunned By New Deployment

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- A veteran who has been out of the military for 15 years and recently received his AARP card was stunned when he received notice he will be deployed to Iraq.

There are many in the Illinois National Guard, who have fallen through the cracks, of this military catch 22! A few, in my area, who have served 3!! deployments> who are over 45 and older! Its madness! Young men and women, be careful> what you signup for?

The whole system's screwed up. I thought about being on border patrol down in Texas,you know, hang out in the desert and drive around in 4x4's and kick illegals out of the country, shoot a cactus or two, but you had to be under a certain age, I forget what the age was. LOL!

I heard about this about two months ago. I found out from John Moore a homicide detective of 35+ years, and former spec ops from around the St. Louis area this was happening.

His friend in the military saw the recall notices going out. This is about moving older officers out of the way so that they can't as the government calls it "compromise domestic leadership"

All the more reason to stand against war in general.

I would point out that we do not know whether this particular gentleman that was recalled to active duty supports the "War on Terror". I suppose you would just desert, and break the law (whether that law is just or not), instead? Eh, Humble?

I'd rather kick the companies that exploit illegals out of this country than the illegals themselves.

There is the law, then there is the color of law. If a rogue
government ignores the will of the people as they did during the bailout (calls and faxes were 10,000 to 1 against) are the people obliged to follow them?

It smacks of taxation without representation.

Where have you heard THAT phrase before, my patriotic
friend?

If a rogue government ignores the law of the land, the basic social contract that binds us all together,
which all government officials and soldiers take an oath to protect and defend - by passing laws which
ignore the basic social contract (Patriot act 1&2, Real ID act, Military Commissions Act) or just ignore
it entirely (posse comitatus and the assignment of 1st combat brigade to American soil) are they in
breech of contract? Is the contract then null and void? It might be time to recall that government!
Is this a fair supposition?

There are two kinds of patriots. The first are tried as war criminals because they were just following
orders. The second are hunted as outlaws and feared.
