When on earth was firing a missile over another country accepted behaviour, unless it is an act of war....whatever way you could call that accepted.

How can the people of northeren norway feel safe knowing that the russians fire missiles that very well can fall in someone's backyard or killing someone. What would they say then?

I read today on another forum that there had been several incidents over China this summer,
and they look exactly the same way like the Norwegian spiral (sorry if it had posted before).

There is no way the Chinese TV would broadcast failed missile tests openly...
Or even failed missile tests of other countries?

I haven't read all 20 pages of this thread yet so forgive me if this has been posted, but there seems to be some confusion regarding the China spiral footage. The main China footage, as linked above, is actually from August of 1988.

In this link, at about 5 months ago in the comments, there is a translation of the Chinese TV show.

Translation: Witness: "25Aug 1988, 9pm, we were chatting outside when we suddenly saw a circle of light towards the Northwestern sky. After it appeared, it grew from small to big. The light swirled clockwise then counter-clockwise. We were stunned - what were those, had never seen before. The first impression was it had nothing to do with the weather.
