Giant caterpillars devastating parts of Queensland, Australia
A recent development here are these giant caterpillars laying waste to pantries and kitchens throughout Queensland.
Their main preferences are for pizzas, hamburgers, Kentucky fried chicken, potato chips, coke and all manner of junk food. Be on the lookout for them around your place. |

Yeah Braydog, I wonder how many times they collapsed before they got a reasonable photo. It's the sort of thing I wish I'd thought of doing when I was younger. My trouble was that when I had an idea to pull a stunt I'd usually stuff it up because I laughed too much while trying to do it.

As long as your "catercritters" stick to junk food they are doing the rest of us a real favour! You gotta be young to come up with such imaginative and original photos! (Or at least young at heart)

Re: Giant caterpillars devastating parts of Queensland, Australia
Brook, I think that must be how they multiply. The segments break off and each one starts a new caterpillar.
I agree with you Sunflower, I've tried to catch one by putting out pizzas but they move too fast. It got to be an expensive exercise so I started making my own pizzas and now I'm hooked on pizzas. I can't make or eat enough of them. I keep looking over my shoulder at the mirror in the bathroom to see if I'm growing an extra segment. It's a worry. |
