facebook, what does this mean?

Hi guys,
I got a strange e-mail and message on facebook today at 13:04 uk time.
I know that today is the first of april, but this is very strange.

it says:-

to:Matthew R#####
Barack Obama confirmed you as a cousin on We're Related

Hi,

Barack Obama (Washington, DC) has confirmed you as his fourth cousin once removed on We're Related.

We're Related Team

This email was sent by We're Related. You can disable emails here.

I have clicked on the link and it doesn't work.
I didn't look or add him or use the are we related application.
Any ides on what this means, has anyone else had something similar?

This seems like a subliminal message saying Tag You're IT.

Some of the FB apps are so inane, and they're created, often, by individuals just like you and me. So, in order to get people to sign up and play their apps, they do really weird things. I haven't gotten the email, but believe me, if I got anything saying the president had done anything on facebook, I'd assume it was a flake. He's too darn busy to play around with facebook.

It's like all those ads that say so-and-so has an IQ of 124, how does yours compare. Who cares!?

It's spam.

Facebook has gotten more annoying recently anyway. I guess it's time to scale back my use of it.

Though that David Wilcock fan page is neat and it's interesting to see that he even has any fans outside of here.
