New Bill Seeks to Restrict Access to Dietary Supplements in US
I normally, don't get involved, but this one crosses the line for me.
If you live in the US and don't want to have to get a script and pay even higher prices just to take a vitamin, or any other number of other supplements, use the "take action" link on the above page and contact your congressmen! Sincerely ****** off FIIISH A bill has been introduced to the Senate that would drive up the cost of dietary supplements and restrict your access to them. This bill seeks to give the FDA arbitrary control over what supplements you are allowed to have. This bill proposes to squander tax revenue, while burdening the private sector with oppressive laws that will hinder scientific advances and increase costs. The net effect will be to take away your free access to dietary supplements. Pharmaceutical interests are obviously behind this latest effort to legislatively force more Americans towards expensive prescription drugs and away from natural ways of preventing degenerative disease. http://www.lef.org/featured-articles...ct-of-2010.htm Last edited by FIIISH; 02-26-2010 at 04:36 PM. |

Re: New Bill Seeks to Restrict Access to Dietary Supplements in US
Thanks FIISH!! Ohhh this stuff makes me mad! Western medicine did nothing but attempt to kill me, make me sicker or try to convince me i needed a hysterectomny at 34....I got fed up and sought out treatment from an herbalist who had me back in great health in no time flat.
At that point I dove into learning everything I could about how herbs, nutrition and natural supplements heal...and at the same time I also learned that Western medicine is way off track because it only seeks to profit from healing. Doctors treat the symptoms with something that will create side effects you need more medication for...instead of diagnosing and treating the root cause of the dis-ease. I've been a much healthier individual over the last 10yrs than I was in my 20s & 30s because I know what to take to keep my immune system boosted, and when I feel the onset of a bug I know how to knock it out, or at least reduce the severity and duration with natural supplements. Along with millions of other people, if this law passes it will have an extremely detrimental effect on my health and bigpharma is well aware of that. Hence the reason for the bill....this is pure evil at work. Profiting from health care should be entirely outlawed, we have an entire industry we entrusted with our best interests and now every thing they do is aimed at making us sick. Then bankrupting us and taking our homes, when we can't pay the hospital bill. Now that's the American way, predatory capitalism at it's finest! Thank you for this post, I've laready passed it on! |

It's all in the so called name of safety, they'll require testing on each product that costs billions to conduct. None of the smaller companies can compete on that level and will go out of business, or be arrested for selling drugs. It's evil...pure evil and the people need to wake up and fight this before it's too late for all of us. There is no place to go T3J this is a global offense... Unless maybe in somewhere in China where they rely on Eastern medicine... |

I think this is the John McCain bill. He got so much pressure he himself withdrew the bill from consideration. The people inundated his office with mail and email. He is a Pharma hack and everyone knows it. Bastards!

Conkroach, Thanks for the update! I was unable to find anything regarding developments on this. Can you supply a link? *EDIT I think I found one. Click on the link for letter: http://mccain.senate.gov/public/inde...0-2BC3637C9CB3 It appears the bill has indeed been withdrawn, for now. This is GREAT! Shows what we can do when we use our collective voice. Last edited by FIIISH; 03-14-2010 at 03:13 AM. |
