Default Cave of Crystals

Pictured: The Cave of Crystals discovered 1,000ft below a Mexican desert

Until you notice the orange-suited men clambering around, it's hard to grasp the extraordinary scale of this underground crystal forest.

Nearly 1,000ft below the Chihuahua Desert in Mexico, this cave was discovered by two brothers drilling in the Naica lead and silver mine. It is an eerie sight.

Up to 170 giant, luminous obelisks - the biggest is 37.4ft long and the equivalent height of six men - jut across the grotto like tangled pillars of light; and the damp rock of their walls is covered with yet more flawless clusters of blade-sharp crystal.

Its the home of Superman, LOL. I've heard of this place before & I've even heard that the crystal cavern is one of the entrances, if you continue to descend, to Hollow Earth. Just imagine the power of meditation in that vicinity of the world. I hope someone does find the passageway to Agartha. Great pic.

Wow. Thanks Map.

I heard about this a few months ago, but never saw any pics, and then I kinda forgot about it.
I saw a cave similar to that on the planet earth doc. on discovery, but the crystals in that cave paled in comparison to these. The crystals were there were different though, kind of course looking. I've seen a few similar smooth long crystals in caves here in the midwest, but maybe two feet at best.

Looks like a spelunker's paradise.....or maybe it is the "fortress of solitude".

Awesome picture! I read the story about a year ago on this, but the pictures were of really poor quality. Thanks for sharing!

Something is strange here, the picture above shows those guys in heavy, what looks like winter clothes, in the youtube video they are hot and sweating, wearing short sleeves, is it two different spots or is it just my weird observations or what?

Because the crystals resemble giant icicles, the picture suggests it must be very cold inside the Cave of Crystals - but appearances can be deceptive. In fact, the temperature is a sweltering 112F, with a humidity of 90-100 per cent.
This is why cavers wear protective suits and carry backpacks of ice-cooled air. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencete...an-desert.html

The caves are very hot and humid. I believe it gets up to 130 def F in there with near 100% humidity. The suits are new to me compared with earlier expeditions. They probably are portable ACs with dehumidifiers or portable air. Before they could only spend a few minutes in the caverns without overheating.

Yes Orion, I think those crystals are responsible for this ambiant light down there.

It's a picture of great importance "MAP". Thank you.

And by the looks of it, the men down there don't seem to be wearing any clothes against the cold ; looks like it's only humid.

Can't imagine what they will discover if they dig deeper.

Mother Earth is simply incredible, as is the whole universe. Just the small location of our home Earth in the whole thing is a mind blower and how it all works only GOD knows.

Why anyone would want to destroy any of this is beyond me.
