I read it with much enthusiam luminari. I'm digging around for some links I have on this very subject and an interview. I've always been very interested in the USO aspect of investigation and evidence more than the UFO.

Re: _AVALON LOUNGE_ Open 24 hours
Yes caught up alright and 20,000 views today. Quite an achievement seeing as they had over a months headstart and global publicity. Not that there is any point comparing a serious spiritual thread with a party/nightclub thread. Even though we have way too much fun here sometimes (for the fun-police anyway) this thread is actually a goldmine of interesting revelations and serious research aswel.... you just have to look a little harder between the jokes, funny pictures and cyber-drinking sessions. Thanks and much love to every single person that has dropped in for a good time, a laugh or a serious discussion. Love-you-long-time.. Re: _AVALON LOUNGE_ Open 24 hours
Heard about a couple recently who had a Mexican maid. It seems the maid was pressing for a pay rise but the wife wasn't happy about giving her one and decided to give her a good talking to.
Before she could start the conversation the maid declared , "I have three good reasons for feeling sure you will give me a pay rise." The wife was taken aback at this and before she could reply, the maid began, "first, I iron better than you do." "Oh, and who told you that?" asked the wife. "Your husband. And I cook better than you." Taken somewhat aback, the wife replied, "Oh, you do, do you? and who told you that?" With a sly smile on her face the maid responded, "Your husband, and I make love better than you do too." The wife, now almost bursting with indignation, snarled, "I suppose my husband told you that as well!" "No," said the maid, "it was the gardener." Completely deflated, the wife asked, "how big a pay rise do you want?" |

Indeed. Im going to need one of those fruity cocktails.. with the umbrella thingy. Dan where are you? Got the nexus thread blues... Its hard defending the castle when no-one seems to care if it falls. I'm sorry but apathy doesn't work for me.. I care deeply, so I get involved. Will take a break. |

Re: _AVALON LOUNGE_ Open 24 hours
The following quotes are the results of brain damage caused by playing bodily contact sport.
The words of successful Australian Rules Football (AFL) players... Who said footballers aren’t smart? 'I owe a lot to my parents, especially my mother and father.' (Shane Wakelin). 'Nobody in football should be called a genius. A genius is a guy like Norman Einstein.' (Mick Malthouse - Collingwood). 'I'm going to graduate on time, no matter how long it takes.' (Peter Bell - Fremantle - on his University Law studies). 'You guys line up alphabetically by height.' and 'You guys pair up in groups of three, then line up in a circle.' (Barry Hall Sydney Captain at training). Brock Maclean (Melbourne) on whether he had visited the Pyramids during his visit to Egypt: 'I can't really remember the names of the clubs that we went to.' 'He's a guy who gets up at six o'clock in the morning regardless of what time it is.' (Kevin Sheedy on James Hird). Jonathan Brown, on night Grand Finals vs Day Games 'It's basically the same, just darker.' Ron Barassi talking about Gary Cowton 'I told him, 'Son, what is it with you. Is it ignorance or apathy?' He said, 'Barass, I don't know and I don't care.' Barry Hall (Sydney) when asked about the upcoming season: 'I want to kick 70 or 80 goals this season, whichever comes first.' 'Luke Hodge - the 21 year old, who turned 22 a few weeks ago' (Dermott Brereton). 'Chad had done a bit of mental arithmetic with a calculator.' (Mark Williams). 'We actually got the winning goal three minutes from the end but then they scored.' (Ben Cousins, West Coast Eagles). 'I've never had major knee surgery on any other part of my body.' (Luke Darcy). 'That kick was absolutely unique, except for the one before it which was identical.' (Dermott Brereton). 'Sure there have been injuries and deaths in football - but none of them serious.' (Adrian Anderson). 'If history repeats itself, I should think we can expect the same thing again. (Andrew Demetriou). 'I would not say he (Chris Judd) is the best centreman in the AFL but there are none better.' (Dermott Brereton). 'I never comment on umpires and I'm not going to break the habit of a lifetime for that prat.' (Terry Wallace). Garry Lyon: 'Have you ever thought of writing your autobiography?' David Swartz: 'On what?' 'Well, either side could win it, or it could be a draw.' (Dermott Brereton). 'Strangely, in slow motion replay, the ball seemed to hang in the air for even longer.' (Dermott Brereton). |

Re: _AVALON LOUNGE_ Open 24 hours
This brand spanking new Airbus 340-600,the largest
passenger airplane ever built, sits just outside its hangar in Toulouse , France without a single hour of airtime. Enter the Arab flight crew of Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies (ADAT) to conduct pre-delivery tests on the ground, such as engine run-ups prior to delivery to Etihad Airways in Abu Dhabi. The ADAT crew taxied the A340-600 to the run-up area. Then they took all Four engines to takeoff power with a virtually empty aircraft. Not having read the run-up manuals, they had no clue just how light an empty A340-600 Really is. The takeoff warning horn was blaring away in the cockpit because they had All 4 engines at full power. The aircraft computers thought they were trying to take off, but it had not been configured properly (flaps/slats, etc..) Then one of the ADAT crew decided to pull the circuit breaker on the Ground Proximity Sensor to silence the alarm. This fools the aircraft into thinking it is in the air. The computers automatically released all the Brakes and set the aircraft rocketing forward. The ADAT crew had no idea that this is a safety feature so that pilots can't land with the brakes on. Not one member of the seven-man Arab crew was smart enough to throttle back the engines from their max power setting,so the $200 million brand-new Aircraft crashed into a blast barrier, totaling it. The extent of injuries to the crew is unknown due to the news blackout in the major media in France and elsewhere. Coverage of the story was deemed insulting to Muslim Arabs. Finally, the photos are starting to leak out. Airbus $200 million aircraft meets retaining wall, and the wall wins! As someone said, after the mishap ... "That's why God gave them camels." |
