Acts of Random Kindness are Contagious
http://www.consciousmedianetwork.com/video/112308.htm
This is one "disease" I would stand in line to catch. I imagined all of America holding joyful hands. |

Re: Acts of Random Kindness are Contagious
Hello folks,
Well it does indeed, I have been on my own personal smile-sharing experiment for the last 2 years at least and I'll tell it is such a fabulous feeling, that what I get and the other person gets a free smile. Caveat -- don't flash your pearly whites at a large angry looking man down a dark alley : -) You all let us know your results, reminds me of the dansing man in the clip below. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlfKdbWwruY When you may have nothing to give you can always give some hope ! |

or backwards in that case! hahaha--how very endearing, even if people get the idea from something as silly as a cup of coffee, its catching, and a good idea to catch onto! eh???

Re: Acts of Random Kindness are Contagious
Hi Gnosis5.
Thanks for that link. It warms the cockles. Hi Harper. Smiles go a long way and I have been "smile sharing" for a very long time. I was in a mall once and my young nephew who was walking behind me asked " why is everybody smiling at you" my reply was of course because I'm smiling at them. Although there is that grey area of just looking crazy but I don't care. I would also like to share something that happened to me a couple of hours ago. I called a friend who I had not seen at the school gate for a few days only to find out she was bed ridden with the flu, dizzy and feverish. Her husband was at the pub (go figure)and she had not gone grocery shopping and there was no food in the house and her kids had not had dinner. I am an American expat in the Uk and had plenty of leftover Thanksgiving dinner good to go. I feel I was led to call her and given a wonderful opportunity to help. I think we are offered opportunities everyday and it is so rewarding to be take them because I think we fulfil our natural humanitarian spirit when doing so and that is so easy to forget. But that's what it's really all about.. isn't it? |

Thank you Jester for this link. This is prophetic. It will happen on a greater scale all over the world, when the mass will awaken to make one people. Namaste, Steven |

Be Kind Boys (and girls too!).
The coffee thing is kinda goofy, I mean c'mon, most people buying starbucks coffee can afford it or else they'd be getting the same thing for much cheaper almost anywhere else, but who cares, it's the random act of kindess thing that really matters. Maybe one of these kind people got a free cup of coffee from a stranger at some point. This is a really good remedy to that walmart/black friday thread, so for that reason: Last edited by raulduke; 11-30-2008 at 06:33 AM. |

Re: Acts of Random Kindness are Contagious
About a year ago, I ran a group in an online forum for moms.
We had a thread that came up with different suggestions to pay it forward, or "Be" love. One of the things I suggested was to write the word love on our faces, or a heart, and walk around for a day without removing it. Many of us did this. One of the moms, worked in an elementary school. She went to work, with love on her face. By the end of the day, every child with the exception of two, had love written on their faces, per their request. She said it was the lightest, lovliest day they had had in a while. Last edited by Circlewerk; 12-01-2008 at 03:05 AM. |
