90 per cent take-up by schoolgirls for vaccination against Jade Goody cancer
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/news...dy-cancer.html
More than nine out ten of Scottish schoolgirls offered a vaccine for the disease that killed Jade Goody have taken their first dose. By Simon Johnson, Scottish Political Editor Last Updated: 7:41PM GMT 26 Mar 2009 Girls in Scotland are well on the way to being immunised against the virus which killed Jade Goody Photo: MATRIX PHOTOS The cervical cancer programme began in September and is currently being offered to all girls in the second year of secondary school. It involves three injections over a six-month period and new figures show the take-up rate for the first dose is 92.2 per cent. For the second dose, which is still being administered, the rate is 87.8 per cent. Shona Robison, Scottish public health minister, paid tribute to the hard work of health boards and schools for making the scheme a success. She added: "Best of all, today's figures show girls are well on the way to being immunised against the virus that causes nearly three-quarters of cervical cancers, a cruel disease that still robs us of around one hundred women in Scotland ever year." The statistics relate to uptake in mid-February for girls in the second, fifth and sixth year of secondary school. The programme will eventually be available to all girls as they enter their teens. There is also a one-off catch-up exercise, lasting three years, for older girls aged up to 18. But Dr Martin Donaghy of Health Protection Scotland said: "It's very important that girls still attend for screening when they are invited from the age of 20. "Together these two preventative measures can prevent lives being lost to cervical cancer in Scotland." Elspeth Atkinson, Macmillan Cancer Support's director for Scotland, welcomed the figures, adding: "It is extremely important that girls take up the opportunity to be immunised. "Of course, this vaccination programme has only recently been introduced, so it remains vital that women between the ages of 20 and 60 in Scotland continue to attend for cervical cancer screening every three years." |

now we know why she did it! the whole idea (apart from raising money for her children) could be to promote that vaccination.

I don't trust vaccinations, especially with everything that's happening in the world and knowing who is running things. Is it possible that tptb have used Jade Goody to promote these vaccinations?
