Many of those facilities were built as underground shelters in the aftermath of the 1987 “War of the Cities,” when Iraq and Iran exchanged bombardments of Scud missiles. http://www.wired.com/dangerroom/2010...#ixzz0choybKxc Another - http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/34721534...ew_york_times/ X-Ref: WIKI The Iran–Contra affair (Persian: ماجرای مک*فارلین, Spanish: caso Irán-contras) was a political scandal in the United States which came to light in November 1986, during the Reagan administration, in which senior US figures agreed to facilitate the sale of arms to Iran, the subject of an arms embargo, to secure the release of hostages and to fund Nicaraguan contras. It began as an operation to improve U.S.-Iranian relations, where Israel would ship weapons to a relatively moderate, politically influential group of Iranians; the U.S. would then resupply Israel and receive the Israeli payment. |

Re: Underground bases in Iran... from the ol' Reagan days?...
Its seems tunneling has been a very active part of military warfair for centurys.. It was activly used in WW2... The palestinians have rudimentary tunnels.. And if you have lots of Tech... Well who know what they could be up to.... The mind boggles.. And anyone who say they dont only has to look though history to figer it out. Why should it be any different now.
