Time to liberate our computers in a massive way

Hi all,
My name is Pablo, im from Buenos Aires,
some poeple call me Cygnus

I am in condition to rebuild a Linux distribution for free to all avalon users, ( a powerfull desktop based on Debian Linux ) with all the needed tools to navigate securely, download videos, and stay tuned without viruses, or NSA keys inside our computers.

I offer this for free as a contribution to many groups ( Asthar Command group, some reptilian resistan movements around the web ) but seems to be that no one is interested. This is a "pulse of energy" inside of me, an inner word saying to me "build a remaster for the lightworkers", so here it is again.

The system will be ready in 15 days, the only thing i need for help is some mirrors to alocate the iso image for download and spread the .torrent file.

The system is legal, open source, and easy to use.

The name is : Vega

How easy will it be to use for people who aren't great with computers?
I mean, the farthest thing I've done is operate bootcamp on my mac... messed with ubuntu a little bit, but I hear Linux and automatically feel like it's unfamiliar territory.

Definitely interested though.

JK, That will be a great OS to run on a PC (I'm familiar w/Ubuntu myself).

You dont and you should not assume otherwise. No offense meant to pablo, but one should always be extremely careful with material like this.

It has the potential to be a very good thing, but that wont stop careful people running it up in a quarantined environment first and doing a fair bit of analysis before green lighting it. I would expect pablo to expect that caution.

By the same token - do you trust all the Microsoft security patches - what are the chances that MS dont have ties with the NSA, or Skype's founders - the list goes on.

For a while security technology was classified as a weapon, certain encryption technology was prohibited export from the USA. Recently its all OK even the previously "too secure for public use" 128 bit strength symetric encryption - now it's not a problem - why ? - because despite established theory - common sense suggests that it must no longer a threat - why ? It simply must be crackable using some kind of non-public aware technology.

All the smoke and mirrors around prohibition was simply to make you think that it was so secure even the Government was afraid of it! I call BS on that. I never trusted it or any "Federally appproved" security technology.

Thanks I knew you would understand. I am very happy to see the work you are doing. I will download it as soon as I have the bandwidth to spare (we have to pay a lot for that in Australia ) I only get 12Gb per month on my fast connection and I need to wait till tomorrow for it to reset

Hi Pablo
I use linux Ubuntu, my son put it in for me.
Im not technically literate at all

Its easy to use and reliable.
Only drawback is that I home record with Boss Br 900 cd recorder and there is windows/boss software on line for making it easy to add the drum part via the laptop and I cant down load to linux.
This makes adding drum parts laborious to our music.
Pablo do you know of anyway round that?
Would your version of Liniux be superior?

Hey Pablo, I was curious if you could explain a little bit about how Tor works to provid 100% anonymity? I dunno if that is a little bit too much to ask or if theres a way to simply explain it. I have heard of it before, I tried to use TorButton on firefox but I could never get pages to load... no idea if thats the same thing lol

What Tor does, i use public proxy servers, to hide ur original Ip walking around the world to despite the origin of your web request. I know that in the last versions of Firefox for Windows, Tor doesnt work properly, but on linux the version available is real stable.

Hi Kuzdu ( curious name, we have a command on linux called kudzu to "discover new hardware setup" )
About the know how, no worries, nododies was born knowing linux.
I think this project became big, and im happy for that, but dont worry, ill try to give the best explanations to ends users, after all I supposed that in the website will be technical forum to give support.

I just come across topic post this evening and I would like to thank you for everything that you are doing. I really enjoyed watching your video and I am looking forward to downloading this linux operating system. I was a little bit familiar with open source software and after you explaining it to me better I would really like to get setup this way.

I do dream of a better world, and open source software free to all driven by us the people and not private corperations is the way to go.

There should be no such thing as pattenting inventions and ideas to help humanity and using that pattent to supress humanity... we live in a shared world and ideas and information should not be bought or sold to the highest bidder. Just because someone else has an idea before you shouldn't mean that they own that idea or thought, we should all share ideas and grow and better ourselves as human beings should.

I couldnt post last night because i am working hardly on Vega. So this is an update of the upcoming. i supposed that the system will be ready for Monday if not on Sunday.

Some issues about Vega 1.0 beta

Codename: Alex
As u know on geek jargons, theres "codenames" to give a "secret name" to each project.*I.e the codename of last Ubuntu is "Karmic Koala". So the codename for
this first version of Vega will be "Alex" in recognition of the work of Alex Collier.

Hi nice quiz

THe minimum requirements are

Pentium IV 2.4 or AMD semprom 2300 and up
512 GB or ram to run the system, but for perfect work i recommend 1GB
10GB free space
a DVD deck or a usb bootable motherboard...
64MB of video card

No i didnt know that good stuff, but seems to be that need to be run with an "script shell" i will chekc if has an UI ( graphic interface ) on Unix like systems....
