strange noise in the sky.
last night(Monday) me and my brother were walking down the street when we heard a very loud noise that sounded like it was directly above us. it sounded like a plane but the noise was somewhat deeper if that makes since. the problem was that there was not a single thing in the sky except stars. and we watched the sky for the whole time the noise was there, which was probably around 3 minutes. I live in a small town so there are no large buildings blocking the view there isn't even any airport. whatever it was it sounded like it was very large because the noise was sustained for around 3-4 minutes and then it began to fade away as if it was getting further away. even when it began to fade away it still took around a minute or two until I couldn't hear it anymore. so I figured I would come and ask the people at Avalon what they think.

Re: strange noise in the sky.
Not much help, I'm afraid, but...
Thought I would throw this in; I live in Riverside, Ca., about 8 mi. from whaere the San Andreas fault crosses the Cajon Pass, in DeVore, ca. I have lived on the Pacific Rim, nearly my entire life, so this isn't my first dance, either. I have been hearing long, low rumbles here for approx 2 months. These do not always coincide with measurable tremors. When they do, they even fool my dogs, as they'll come running to blame us. Some of these are very short; a few seconds. Some of them last up to 30 seconds. Fred
