Default Re: A little serenity (for Bach lovers)

I updated the playlist:
http://www.youtube.com/view_play_lis...19E13861763EFC

I hope I got all the vids posted so far in that playlist. Drop me a message on youtube if I forgot one. My subscription to Avalon will expire soon and I'm not renewing it.

Thank you for that flute partita Phtha. That is the first new one for me in this thread. I'm listening now and crying.

Bach I love you. Whatever you were trying to express, you know you succeeded and it's been there for everyone to experience since 259 years.

Why can't people just listen! Not you, reading this, but other people.

I could throw away every book and just read one Bach score for the rest of my life, I would not have missed anything of what man's gratitude and thankfulness for his consciousness of himself, others, and the universe can express to his Creator. That is how I feel about Bach's music: a perfect balance between mathematics and passion. That balance is what happiness is all about to me. And I cry as I hear or play Bach, and see myself out of this balance, as well as this invisible influence around me, since the day I was born, enveloping everything to make the world seems unbalanced. And what is even more amazing to me, is how easily Bach' music can bring me back to a sense of harmony and balance, no matter how much deceived I got from that negative influence. Like a match lighted underwater, it's impossible, yet the miracle always happens. One can only be thankful and accept Bach's music for what it is.

Thanks for coming by Avalon and sharing your energy metaw3. I've added you at youtube.
I love your description of how Bach balances math and passion in his music. Tis very true.
Best of luck and peace2u.

The many great gardens of the world, of literature and poetry, of painting and music,
of religion and architecture, all make the point as clear as possible: The soul cannot
thrive in the absence of a garden. If you don't want paradise, you are not human;
and if you are not human, you don't have a soul.

- Thomas Moore, The Re-Enchantment of Everyday Life, 1996, p. 101
