That's not as funny as it might appear jaby - I always ask myself, "what is being obscured by the smoke screen of sudden newsworthy stories of shock and horror? What new legislation is being introduced while the spotlight is shining elsewhere?"

Read the small news items hidden in the open on the back pages of newspapers. They could contain more truth than the scare tactics do.
On the other hand, if what is being said is true, then we should all be thankful that pigs can't fly.

Yeah....I HEAR you.

There is also the spiritual angle. The collective consciousness. Just as we are approaching Beltane and May Day. And the General Population is getting scared....un-necessarily. Today I was feeling a bit weird and tearful and I think it might be because of the fear-mongering.

My neighbour was shouting and shrieking at her kids in a horrible, out-of-control way. There was a strange 'vibe' around.

A couple of observations after reading this thread...

Flu kills about 500,000 people per year, but it is important to notice that almost all of them are old/weak people while it seems that the Swine flu is killing young and strong people.

I agree, it's a generated crisis (sounds familiar). There are even similarities with other generated crises, like 9/11 and 7/7. Did you know that Scotland pre-planned an exercise on how to cope with an Avian flu epidemie just days before the outbreak took place?
"Coincidentally", the link with the info is offline.

Luckily this blog is still working:

Check the date.

WHO just raised the level to 5 and it looks like level 6 is imminent (according to WHO). I'm worried, not panicking though. While I realize this is a major evil step to get to their ultimate wet dream of total control, I don't know how evil their plan is and what the outcome will be. I'm especially worried about the one I love who lives at the other side of the globe.

I've been thinking about the target population for this virus. It's intriguing because one could argue the case that in the elderly they may be taking some sort of medication that might interfere with the incubation of the virus.

I also lean in the direction that it was one of the many targeted viruses that we heard so much about around election time, however my understanding was that these engineered viruses would be designed to target certain DNA strands that would be present in certain ethnic backgrounds thereby creating a very targeted population control.

Well.....it's got everyone OUT of Mexico.

I don't even know why I said that.

but it's something that I've thought..

Why Mexico? Is this significant in any way?

To me this is nothing to worry about what so ever.
The normal human flu kills about 36,000 a year, and puts about 200,000 in the hospital every year, so why are we even talking about this flu? I don't get it I guess.

The Flu kills on average 500,000 people every year worldwide.

This is not a very well known or publicised fact yet it is an extremely large amount of people.

The reason this is different is because of the all the media publicity it is getting. It is getting this publicity for a very good reason. Watch this space.

There may be many threads on this subject but from what ive seen there are none asking people what they think. Thats why i created it. If you dont like it run along

Thumbs up Re: Swine Flu - Your Thoughts

Swine flu is not a problem for the pigs, as they are all going to be cured anyway

I'm also considering buying a couple of masks. You never know. If it were to turn into a worldwide pandemic, the stocks of masks will be gone in no time.
If you look at the top selling products at Amazon, there are a lot of masks in that list.

But I read that not just any mask will protect you. A regular surgical mask won't protect you!

I wonder why governments are distributing masks that don't provide ANY protection to their citizens. They are giving them a false sense of security and this could all be part of the plan.

Swine flu has been around for ages - it's the usual type A flu that most people get. This flu appears to be GM, because it has several different flu strains from several different countries.

Washing hands is important, but at some point, masks will be even more so. The issue is to keep the flu virus out of the areas of the body that infection can enter by - mouth, eyes, nose, and ears. Most of the doctor's masks that you see are pretty useless - they cover a mouth that coughs, but if the droplets are already in the air, they don't provide enough coverage to prevent the droplets from getting into the areas above.

I think people are "taking it in stride" because they don't know what else to do. They've been dumbed down for so long that now they wait for TPTB to tell them when to worry and when to not. So far the MSM has given a mixed message (depending on where you live) - somewhere between don't stop traveling to don't go to Mexico. The great fear is that commerce will be affected.

And, they aren't sure of the initial vector, etc. (and if you believe it's a 4 year old boy living near a pig farm, I have a bridge to sell you).

My thoughts? I hope I'm wrong, but I think it's the real thing, that it will come in waves, each succeeding wave more difficult than the past. The worst will start in the fall. Be prepared to wear masks as your new fashion statement NP95 masks (nano-particle 95).

Hey alyscat, is the bridge wooden or is it made from steel? We had a wooden one but the termites ate it. They gobbled up the in'ards and just left a shell. Thank goodness we've been in a drought situation for the last ten years - otherwise I would have got my new slippers wet when I fell through into our pond.

Patch into coast to coast radio on your computer for last nights interviews. It was a take from all perspectives and the what ifs! Basically none of the people on the show said that for this strain to take off like it did and where it started was nothing of a miracle , but possibly man made. THink of this , this swine flu strain is 1/3 bird flu from asia, 1/3 human flu from europe, and 1/3 swine flu from north america, and it started in mexico !! What are the odds!

So when they say don't do this or that, I would say think of it like this, your walking down the street right now at a comfortable pace, now you have a gang behind you 100' that are following you, so you start picking up the pace a bit and always keeping your focus, That is today.

If this swine flu does not burn out by this fall the real test will be the next flu season in my opinion or when this enters asia where all the 60% fatal H5N1 strain is. With the swine flu being contagoius (highly) and the fatal rate of the bird flu, if these 2 join forces and mutate, look out.

Just slowly make sure your prepping, 1-3 month supply to live at home if this does go highly deadly. To be continued............................Just my thoughts
