Oh, okay, thank you. The only one time I visited a hypnotherapist she was unable to "hypnotize" me so I'm not sure what happened there

In our own past life sessions we suspend our logic or mind chatter and let the images and impressions, sensations, etc. come to view. I feel very conscious, but simply accessing a different part of my mind, perhaps the 3rd eye pineal gland or my higher self, although that might be too grandiose. Seeing, feeling, sensing takes some practice and we still need someone to guide us.
