WOW
Thanks for the response and support, ya'll.Let's be clear again...'no judgement, criticism'..just a strange observation. I didn't watch the election, I don't believe in that cesspool..I mean, system anymore. (It's clearly a pageant run by the elite every four years for the rest of us, to make us think our voice counts.....blah...anyway...) If I did still buy into all that, Ron Paul would have been my first choice...when that fizzled, I would have gone with Obama. Their campaigns were totally geared to make the republican side less desirable. Ya think? I don't even have a particular opinion about the dress, I just saw a clip of news this morning and the image, as a whole, just sorta jumped at me. I had to get on the computer and look for another pic, like I couldn't believe what I had just seen! Definately NOT 'thrashing, trashing or dissing'...they're are a lovely family and whether we like it or not, they're a part of our family...let us not forget that for any of them for even a moment. no FEAR.....just LOVE folks! Everyone here knows which path we're on. Agreed? I'd especially like to thank: Corky-Thanks for the link! I'm always looking for new info and a new perspective 777 The Great- That's the question that got me...was this picture put there for a reason..a symbol...maybe something to 'their people' like..'yea, we got this, see?' Weird! seekur3, Pamela, Worlds Beyond, Sahara-Thanks for gettin' me! Your confirmations are a comfort and most appreciated! Hi Kimmie! I sew too!! Amazing! More of an art thing with me, but I love it. Still, wasn't the dress itself that caught my attention. Nope, it was the design on the dress. Again, Thanks to everyone Let's Keep Walking in Love!

Frank-
You seem like one of those new agers who thinks that anytime somebody says something you dont agree with they are being negative... oh my god... you are so negative... waa waa.. nothing good can come from negative... only light will live... Ya well without darkness light couldnt exhist... we would not know goodness or kindness or love if we didnt know evil... hate.. or lonelyness... They exhist together.... I do not trust anybody who plays with the people who put us here today... the system is opressionistic in nature... Obama is a part of it.... He used their money.... he is in their cult... Hey Frank
BIG assumptions mate. Talk about negative ("black ugly woman"), we are talking about the possible symbolism in her attire and you just really dropped the bar. She is an attractive black woman just as I am so your tone, even in jest is the only offence here. You could have very easily not posted here if this was not you cup of tea. BTW it's bling bling. |

Orion I am a war veteran who is fed up with discrimination, it is an old song.
Now there's so many crimes committed by Obama according to the internet. he's evil, he's a terrorist, he's the anti christ, he's a liberal, he's a 33rd degree mason, he's an illuminati, he's an alien, he's a black man, he's a white man, he's an illegal alien, he's a leftist, he's a communist, he's war happy, he hates russia. Did I leave anything out. Thank God for the internet for keeping me so well informed, gee!!! Hey I am an expert on any subject I just look it up in goggle and buolah what will you like to know. ![]() |

Better be careful Frank, you didn't choose your words very wisely at all, and if I was black I'd have alot more to say. In fact your post was straight up ignorant.

My point exactly, this is getting old, my two daughters are black if you like to know, so sorry for being so blunt. Most of the comments are border line racial. If you notice Jamaica has not posted anything in the caribean section
in quite a while. I love you guys you know that, you are free to say what you want and so do I. Negativity breeds negativity which is the point of my post, maybe a bit extreme. The way I grew up is that if you have anything negative you want to tell a person you tell it to his face. http://www.barackobama.com/index.php I hate politics, and to correct any false assumptions I know about corrupt politicians first hand, even in PR the govenor Anibal Acevedo Vilar has 24 criminal Federal charges , many politicians have gone to jail in the Island for corruption. I do believe we as people, one by one, family by family, we can make a difference. This is what I teach my children. Politicians do not make a difference, People do !!! One million volunteers is what help Obama win. We will have to wait wether he's a sell out, I will give him the benefit of the doubt for now. So if my words offended you then I dare say, we are all looking at our own reflection in the mirror. Oh before I forget Michelle is a sexy intelligent Lady, Obama is a lucky guy !!!

Thank you Corky, I felt confused and misunderstood by Frank's response.
I don't understand much of what Frank was all about...at first it sounded like he was looking (rudely) to pick a fight...then, later, he sounded like he hadn't read what the thread was about until after his first response... enough time on Frank. JACQUI D-Sounds like our thoughts are connected! Everything you said resonated with my own. I couldn't vote in this election, it felt like I'd be telling the universe that I condoned the LIES. Once you start looking, learning and seeing, you can't go back, I guess. IMAGINE LOVE

I thought she looked smokin' hot in that get-up . . .
Meow, baby . . . Finally, a sexy first lady, instead of that dried up husk of a woman Bush Jr. is married to. |

I just departed from Avalon as the fire was heating up to join the camelot truth seekers. As soon as I saw the title of the thread it put a smile on my face as I too gaze for occult illuminati symbolism that slaps you in the face like a wet fish.
That dress has a scent of concealed artistic invention of the upper crust by means of the olfactory nerves. I am very suprised Jenny designated the thread topic with a label of 'thrash' and still hasn't appologised to the OP. |

not saying that i agree with anything in this article, just pointing out the fact that the dress is being discussed outside this forum. imo it definately means something.
Michelle Obama under fire for dress choice November 7, 2008 - 10:02AM Source: ABC Barack Obama's victory speech may have electrified the nation, but the dress worn by his wife Michelle has attracted almost as much feedback in internet chatrooms and among fashion aficionados. Ms Obama appeared onstage at the huge Chicago rally wearing a black cardigan over a scoop-neck black sheath with splashes of red in the upper and lower half separated by a band of black at the hips. The outfit was a slightly modified version of a dress presented by designer Narciso Rodriguez in September for the 2009 spring season. "I voted for Obama, but I didn't vote for that dress," mother of three Jessica Bettencourt from Wisconsin told The New York Times. "I don't know what was worse," Chicago lawyer Karla Wright told the paper, "that stupid criss-cross band around the middle or that black, sort of, border coming up from the hem." But not all comments were negative. "That dress was unpretentious," Julie Gilhart, fashion director of New York's top-price Barneys clothing store, told the Times. "It said, Be who you are - don't let someone else tell you how to be.'" The Italian daily La Stampa dubbed the dress "the look of victory" and said the black symbolised mourning for Mr Obama's grandmother, who died on the eve of the election, while the red was for passion. A contributor to the website of the German newsweekly Focus also suggested there was hidden meaning in the colours, perhaps red for the political left and black for the first African-American to win the US presidency. "It is more about the symbolic effect of the colour combination red/black. Because the daughters were also in red or black. Very unusual and surely no accident," the reader said. Others were dismissive, describing the subject as superficial besides the historic importance of Mr Obama's election win. "The USA must be doing pretty well if it is worrying about the first lady's dress," one typical Focus posting said. One fashion expert described the interest attracted by the frock as "depressingly trivial ... and yet fascinating" because of what it told us all about Ms Obama. "You may like or dislike Michelle Obama's dress, but that's not as interesting as the agenda behind it, because you can be sure there was one," wrote fashion editor of the London Times Lisa Armstrong. "This was one of the most choreographed First Family-elect appearances in history," she said, adding that "even seven-year-old Sasha Obama had been dragooned into that monochromatic colour scheme." Carola Long of the London-based Independent said Ms Obama's fashion sense was a far cry from the traditional first lady look "reminiscent of the uptight Bree from Desperate Housewives," a reference to the popular television series. "The presidential race may only just have come to an end, but the battle for fashion supremacy was sewn up months ago," she wrote. Whatever the significance of the dress, one thing is certain - the world is going to hear much more on the subject over the next four years. "At the least, it promises four lively years of fashion-watching at the White House," the New York Times said. - AFP © 2008 Australian Broadcasting Corporation http://www.bigpond.com/news/entertai...07/2413008.asp Last edited by stal; 11-07-2008 at 07:02 AM. |

Thanks forever, Reunite and Hypnotize!
It has been amazing to me how sooo many want to make this about the dress, the family and everything else... It was always about the symbolism...'symbolism that slaps you in the face like a wet fish.' Great discription! I am in total gratitude for those of you who understood my inquiry. We are observering and not making judgement...yea us! Walking with Love!

Your statements here are outrageous and totally way off the mark and downright WRONG! Frankly how dare you assume that we are Obama bashing and that there are racial motivations in our words, that is beyond disgusting and you should be totally ashamed of yourself for jumping to such a poorly thought out and WRONG conclusion. Your word choices are insulting, rude and base and if you are the father of black children then your phrasing is even more stunningly appaling. I am not here commenting on the people, my comments are NOT racial or racially motivated and I do not hate the Obamas nor am I angry that he won, actually quite the opposite! But how dare you cast your assertions on me and others without so much as a thought for the energy your words send out...Be very careful what you write because as someone once wrote "The pen is mightier than the sword" and someone else once said..."Those that live by the sword, die by the sword"! Look left and look right...then...THINK before you POST! PEACE OUT |
