I believe you must look at this from people who were in the military. This was not a civilian!!! You rarely hear anything from the inside.
If someone is employed in special projects , they can never tell you anything because of document they signed.

Also, take note of how long it took to find the truth. The people who did this know how to hide the truth deep within the mind. They also have different locks in place if someone starts getting close.
