Does anyone use a pendulum to access higher knowledge?

I've been using the pendulum on/off for the last 10 years. Years ago, I had quite a few things happen as it said they would, but I also find that it doesn't always tell the truth. I always pray before I use it, but lately, it is more often incorrect.

In the past, I thought I might be getting incorrect answers because my actions might have been changed if I was told the truth. I figured my higher self or God was trying to teach me something. I also thought it was training me to listen to my own inner voice for discernment.

It's funny that you started this thread at this time. Last night, I decided to stop using the pendulum for a while. I'm very frustrated and don't really trust it anymore. I'm tired of being lied to. I've been looking for spiritual guidance my whole life and now I feel there isn't any out there for me at this time.

If anyone has any advice, I'd love to hear it. Thanks.
