Oh dear! Brook and Judy, let me sit down and catch my breath. Phew. That was hard work.

During the late 50s and early 60s I was doing the nightclub circuit in Auckland as a compere and floor-show organizer. Those clips brought back old memories of dancing the night away between shows.

Brings to mind the line, "What I once used to do all night, now takes me all night to do once."

In those days, the Go-Go dancers were the in thing. They performed with such energy that the girls could only do one or two numbers then they'd have to take a break while two others would replace them.

Take a look at this clip of a Chuck Berry performance of "Johnny B. Goode" - it makes me feel exhausted just watching.

That brings back memories of when I did a tap dancing routine to that song. I love old Chuck Berry songs.

Beware Patrons!!!

This is the result of what happened to my friend when he ate the chili in the Avalon Restaurant and someone spiked his drink with nitro-methane.
He actually thought he was going to take off down the runway.

This could happen to you!!!
