Why the World Won't Wake Up

I got my wake up call about 15 years ago and was ridiculed for my ideas.
I've been really shocked at the stubborness of the average person to remain in their "Ignorance is Bliss" and What I don't Know Won't Hurt Me" state of mind.
A perfect example of why this planet won't wake up in time( if at all)are the economic problems in the USA and the resulting stimulus "package".Regardless of why the govt did it, The avg American was given 300$-over $1000 dollars to spend so that more money would circulate and at least make things look better in the short term.So what did the avg AmericaN do with that $?According to the financial reporting i saw, they spent it on internet porn and Wal-Mart.As most of us know ,Wal-mart is basically a gigantic vacuum cleaner that sucks money out of america and into China.No economic circulation there.Then we have the internet porn.I think some "stimulation" happened but i don't think it had much effect on the economy.
Regardless of whether the Stimulus Package was a good idea or not, This kind of foolishness by the avg person living in America shows why the world will not wake up to it's stupidity and mistakes.If their is one subject that Americans in particular should understand consequences, it's with $money$.The only way people in general are going to really change,Is when they lose their material possesions.When the electricity goes off.When they can no longer be distracted by the non-sense that is modern day rat race society.
I know a lot of people want to see the best in people, but people in general are Dicks, and the more money and freedom you give them,the bigger dick they become.I know I'm ranting and stating the obvious,But i think it needed to be said.I lost my faith in people long ago, but I am thankful to have met some people on this site who are obviously on the same level as me.Most of you have probably been ridiculed for your ideas as well.Remember that the people who ridiculed you are either at Wal-Mart or on the internet sleaze sites right now.
