The Burisch/Kerry thing and spirituality

Well, I might get shouted at and told this belongs in an already existing thread, I'll just have to take my chances.

I was watching/reading the Burisch Kerry thread from a distance as in all honesty, I am avoiding negative threads like the swine flu vaccine (the plague). To say I was stunned at what is going on at a spiritual level would indeed be a mild pronouncement. I know that there is much love out here in the world of Avalon, I have experienced it first hand. I have also experienced the opposite but that too is a good thing as it is opportunity for growth, an opportunity to sit back and reflect in a time of meditation.
Hmmmm, I hear someone saying "I don't do the meditation thing". Well dear, just being here reading is in itself a form of meditation, so relax.

There were a lot of good comments in that thread, comments about if you place someone on a pedestal they will surely tumble, etc. Good stuff, excellent observations. The comments that verged on the hysterical is actually what this post is aimed at.

I posted the lyrics to a song there by David Crosby called Naked in the Rain, and it would appear that by and large, the lyrics went unnoticed. I guess in all honesty, I am not surprised as the thread itself is based in the flesh and lacks any spirituality whatsoever. No, this is not an attack, it is hopefully an observation that can be absorbed, mulled over and allowed to seep into the recesses where it can go to work. You see, above all, we need spiritual answers for the Now, we need to rise above that which we see with the eyes, as it is these things that waylay us and send us off on a tangent, away from what we actually are here for. Just as a reminder, we are actually here to be a part of that which brings in the new reality, the "new age" (I hate that expression but there isn't an alternative). We need to leave the fighting to those who want to have at it, if the cat is amongst the pigeons, we need to understand that the door has been left open and to begin to understand that unless we lift our own game plan to a higher spiritual level, we will be forever stuck here.

Do we need Burisch? Do we need Kerry? In fact do we need anyone, including me? No, we don't, and yes we do. I know I know, a total contradiction, but not really. What we need is each other at a spiritual level, a level where we proffer unconditional love, where we understand that to err is human, to forgive is divine. Kerry and Burisch need to also understand this, and I speak of a previous incident when Michael St Claire said something and the love that poured out of Avalon was just so pure. Indeed it was so pure it made the Ganges in flood look pristine.

Here is an interesting thread, and it sums up exactly what I have been thinking for quite some time now. Why are we here? To be noticed? To have our egos stroked? To be "The Man/Woman"? Are we seeking some form of recognition, some accolade? It would appear that way as a lot of hurting goes on here in Avalon, and when huring occurs, it is because there is ego involved. Ego determines that there has to be one-upmanship, a winner and a loser, a victor and a victim. Is that really who we are?
