A physical pole shift is a real possibility, and it would displace enormous masses of ocean water due to the changed position of centrifugal forces on the earth's surface. This appears to have happened historically and perhaps even in regular cycles. Obviously this would be a more transformative change than a tsunami, as it would literally change coastlines and possibly even have the effect of 'raising' certain land masses. The exact timing, however, is uncertain, as are the specific regions that would be most impacted.
