most of these sub-forums have 'stickies' that have not been added to in weeks. how long do they remain sticky?

they do 'clog' up the forums. should someone not remove them as they become inactive?

There are no set rules too how long a sticky will remain so the answer is about as varied as the personalities of the moderators. My own opinion on how long those stickies that i place remain is this ; Stickies should remain stickies as long as they are relevant. Just because they have not been added to by any of the users does not mean they loose the status that warranted the sticky. Each time i place a sticky it is because i feel the information within that thread when stickied and not necessarily that which is added thereafter is important 'need to know' information that would benefit all of the current users and those which join at a later date.
