I recently watched a excellent show on coast to coast regarding gem healing. Apparently, natural stones, crystals and gems contain energy that can work with the body chakras and help with natural healing.
These are some of the stones discussed and what they can be used for: Rose Quartz: brings love, weight loss, and helps reduce wrinkles. Hematite: useful for grounding, and absorbing negative energy. Amethyst: fosters psychic development, helps battle addictions. Citrine: tends to attract financial abundance. Aventurine: alleviates aches and pains, and also attracts money. Sodalite: assists with thyroid and hypoglycemic issues. Lapis: most recommended by Cayce, helpful with migraines, acid reflux. Fluorite: relieves allergies and aids in concentration. Serpentine/Infinite: used for various kinds of healing and can turn dark when people use it because it takes on the person's energy so they can heal. Bloodstone: a miraculous stone that works opposite to infinite because the user actually takes on its properties Anyone had any experience with gem healing or would provide any insight to whether this really works or not? |

I have a full chakra disc set and many many crystals which I seems to go through a phase of buying...
Mine is similar to this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DELUXE-POWERFU...d=p3286.c0.m14 I found Fuchite and then Kyanite really helped me with RSI (repetitive typing injury) and nerve damage from it... Holding a crystal in your hand and having it pulse for me confirms there is definitely something to it. Whether they heal specific things as you say? The two I tried worked so for me yes... And doing meditation/relaxing with the set on does help me... Hope that helps... |

That's very interesting. I bought a similar set off ebay that had all these stones as well. I have used them a few times by just laying the ones that relate to each charkra on my body and taking a quick nap.
I am pretty healthy and don't have any chronic health issues, so I cannot contest to these stones really helping certain issues. However, whenever I use these stones - I swear I hear a "buzzing" sound in my ears and get very relaxed. I know that sounds odd, but I definitely hear it. I'm not sure if that has something to do with the energy that they give off or what. Once thing I would like to know is how long they last? I have heard that you have to cleanse your stones before each use and some of them need to be replaced after a short time because you can literally drain them of their healing energy. |

I have loads of crystals all over my house and a load on my bedside table.
I sleep with a few in the pillow case and hold a Amethyst heart in my hand while I'm asleep. I love 'em ![]() |

I have a strong affinity for stones and I do find them useful. I have a half a dozen or so stone spheres ranging in size from about 1 3/4" up to 3" or so. I find them helpful for grounding, focus, meditation etc. I have a lapis, a citrine, a fluorite, an amethyst and one of marbled obsidian and pyrite (I can never remember the name of that)...I do not own a crystal ball but I have found that I can use either the fluorite or the citrine for scrying. I love the lapis. It's one of my largest at just under 3". It's not the color that's so neat - it's on the light side, but it contains swirls that circle around two spots like poles, so that the stone looks like a tiny galaxy or planet, with the tiny pyrites sparkling like stars. The fluorite is the largest, and has terrific green-purple color, and the smallest is the citrine. It's very pale, sort of a ginger-ale color, with many refraction planes that glint pink and blue. I am also fond of big chunks of granite, pieces of flint, quartz, almost any crystalline stone feels to me as if it's full of energy. Do the stones themselves have "powers?" Depends on what you mean. There's nothing magical about them, other than the miracle of being created with their very special properties. Crystals do modulate energy - look at what quartz has done for the world of cheap clocks and watches, and how a ruby turns a beam of light into a laser beam. Does the same principle hold true in the spiritual realm? I happen to be a believer - but I won't look you in the eye and tell you there's any science behind it. Yet. As far as cleansing them and how long do they last, well, they're rocks. They last as long as anyone will ever need them to. They can accumulate static or negative stuff, and cleansing helps with that. I usually leave mine out in the full moon in a basin of water. Some folks bury them. I am not sure there's really anything to that...again, no real science there....yet. I am a believer, and I consecrate the stones I wear primarily to thank the Creator for the use of them, and to cleanse my own mind with relation to them...if that makes sense. I wear stones and crystals around my neck, and am sometimes moved to gather and string together selections of stones for close friends. Usually I wear a strand of labradorite and rubies with a rather small quartz point, or a larger point that I strongly resonate with, that's strung with carnelian, howlite, amethyst, some different jaspers, and moonstones (it's not as gaudy as it sounds). Very occasionally I will put together something to order, but I really prefer to do these as the spirit moves, because the recipient is always pleased and they often tell me stories of paranormal experiences while wearing them.
