Default What do you think of this statement?

Nothing I see in this room (on this street, from this window, in this place) means anything.

IE...

This table does not mean anything.
This chair does not mean anything.
This hand does not mean anything.
This foot does not mean anything.
This pen does not mean anything.
That door does not mean anything.
That body does not mean anything.
That lamp does not mean anything.
That sign does not mean anything.
That shadow does not mean anything.

Nothing can mean anything because as soon as you assign meaning, or value or a label to anything, or one you negate it.

The thing that's been given meaning ceases to exist in the NOW.

Only action. Only pure thoughtless experience lets one reside in the eternal now.

then why is the time 11:11 so powerful to so many people? Is it because we give it meaning, or is it because spirit is communicating with us?

As we all live in our personal model of the world,( MOW,) every experience of anything/nothing, is personal.

Meaning is experience is personal is truth.

Spirit communicating is meaningless.

there is no person, no I, to put meaning to it.

Endless evolving truth.

Now we are getting deep... if each of us has our own personal model of the world, then what is reality? And if we are all one with existence... then how is the MOW possible?

P.S. I agree with message of your post.

Noticing the clock at 11:11 is an expression of NOW, though, no?

I don't wait around for the clock to go from 11:09 to 11:11... I look up, the clock says 11:11 and I can feel the others in my time zone who are seeing the same glowing numbers RIGHT then.

Then I continue on my path of the moment.

We are conditioned to think we need signs of our unity. It helps people get to a place where they can use their own senses fully to get a grasp on this magically universe. Once they (we) get to a certain point (different for everyone, obviously) the need for such reminders slips into the ability to more fully focus on the present.

Source doesn't need meaning to recognize itself. It just is, right?
The closer one gets to fully embracing the source-ness of them self, the less meanings matter.

Love and only love,

Reality ..what it is?
The question is meaningless as the answers you get are as diverse as the people who answer it.

The interface between personal MOW's is rapport.

You listen , watch, feel the person expressing him/herself very close..you almost become the other person. You step outside your personal boundaries into the MOW of the other.

Stepping back into your own MOW you express yourself in respons to the other person out of your personal MOW.

This sort/kind of communication produces truth..a shared truth.

Spirit communciating is communication without boundaries or MOW.

Imo.

Well said... and by implication you are also saying that symbols could be used for anything. Unifying and Dividing... really its the meaning behind the symbol that we give it... that defines its intention.

And what about 11:02... or 2:47. I look at the clock at those times, and know that the rest of the world is looking at it at these times as well. But it doesnt have the acknowledgement of 11:11 as demonstrated in this forum. Time is also a symbol...

What I am understanding from your post is that reality is unique to each individual and because it is based on a persons perception of the world?

If a woman has a baby growing inside of her.... is she not pregnant.. That to me would be a reality. And being pregnant is not unique to any one person, it is how the whole of humanity has grown and continued..

I hate it when I am quoted partially.
