if anyone has a credit card my advice is to run now for the door.....and max that sucker to the limit with survival stuff......mainly seeds and warm clothing......tent.....sleeping bag....waterproof clothing.....big knife.....dry boots......OH ONE MORE TIME SEEDS !!!!!!!! come on every body lets help push this thing into gear.....lets max out all the credit at once......while helping ourselves and our future selves at the same time !!!! power to the people!!!! UNIED WE SHOULD STAND....

Almost forgot......while you´re maxin out that credit card you´ll need to add to the list plenty of waterproof matches....lighters (and don´t be chinsy here)splurge a little.....ya don´t want it to break after the first or second light...... And you´ll need some of those silver surviaval blankets.....to attract or deflect the sun as needed.....also some large peices of plastic to catch the nightdew so you and your sprouts don´t thirst to death........and a nalgene bottle to catch the water....actually get 5 or 6 what the hell the banks payin.....and don´t forget to get several years of close weaved hemp ....this will be used to sew and make sprouting bags....you´ll need at least 7 ....one for each day min. And a nice back pack (again don´t be chinsy her the banks paying and you don´t need a broken back) so my i suggest an arcteryx.....also a good book on identifying edable food from the forest and the sea.....oh and a sharpening stone for your big ass knife.......a daul knife never helped anyone !!!!! And a good strong crow bar......cause ya never know what you´ll have to open......

With these few things curtacy of your bank and a strong determanation your sure to succeed.....this list is per person.....

Great advice considering that not much has happened on the 7th and we are still alive and having to pay bills and s**t like that.

Oh ya and one more thing... I live in the rocky mountians and have spent lots of time in them during all types of weather..

You would die with that list.... probably in less then a week...

What are you going to eat in the winter time?

And are you going to punch that 1400 pound man eating grizzly bear in the face with your knife?

And you better hope your tent is strong enough to hold 15 feet of wet snow on it without collapsing...

We've thought about this...but since some of these things are still up in the air we're not to sure this would be the smartest idea. I actually dont have a credit card but I thought about going out to get one just for this reason. What do you guys think..is it a good call?

Also some more I'd add to your list is a multi-tool, axe, an compass.

hey om...i lived in the rocky mountians myself for a few winters....leadvill....anyway when i lived in steamboat i used to camp on the ski hill in the middle of storms......i here ya brother....but i did say do be chinsy....and after all i´m not writing a book here but now that you metion it "a top of the line 4 season tent" i used a mountian hardwear myself.....also put dehydrated food on the list.....but sins you have some skils start sharin the info brother instead of being so defencive.....this is a conversation....please add to the list freely....thank you....

sorry man.. I wasnt trying to be offensive.. I am just having one of those days where I might be feeling a bit agressive...

In all honesty I would find a friend who has an actual cabin up in the mountains and try to start a winter community if we have to..

For people without access to a cabin I would suggest... Well I am not sure but I would really reccomend a gun.. You are going to need a hunting rifel and probably a 45 to keep any bears away...

I know that people are going to freak out when I say the word gun.. but honestly I would rather shoot my self than shoot anybody else.. even if they were going to kill me..

The bears are a serious threat.... every week people run into very serious bear encounters... I live in the middle of Wyoming and I do not know a single person who has been to the mountains and not seen a bear.

People should also learn how to make their own bullets or use black powder muzzle loaders because we are not going be able to go the the store and buy rounds for our guns...

You will die in the mountians in the winter time without a gun... You have to hunt for your food...

Surviving the wetness and the weather??? I dont know?? You are seriously going to need a giant tent..

That is why the indians moved to the plains in the winter time.. because it was simply impossible to survive in those conditions for months without fire...

The tents we buy at the store cannot have a fire on the inside of them... If it is snowing hard out you are not going to be able to build a fire outside... and if it storms for longer then a week you will not have any wood to start a fire with anyways....

That is why we need to find communities of hard working people who know their s**t...
I know this crazy christian guy who reloads his own bullets and is a total survivalist..
I will put down my beliefs and stand side by side with this man if it ever comes down to it.

hearin ya om ....it´s going to be hard....we need to group together like ya say but the problem is conecting with others that are prepaired.....phisically....emotionally....and mentally..... personaly i don´t know anyone......maybe some people from this forum but everyone is spread out all over the world....so what to do...??? i can find the force with in myself....a good suggestion might be to start walkin south .......
