Any info please, night flights over london.

Anybody know anything about night flying restrications over London? I thought it wasn't allowed. I'm in South London and there's been a lot of traffic the last couple of hours. Have the restrictions changed? Anybody else know anything.

There is no ban on night flights over London, I believe some time ago they banned the noisiest of aircraft from flying at night but they are still allowed a certain quota of quieter aircraft at night.

I know some councils are trying to get all flights at night banned but with the proposed expansion in fight numbers I cannot see this happening.
