Default Reactions of interest

Dare you say what you think, feel, believe? Have you ever mentioned in conversation an alternate view point, idea, focus.... and then to be met with "that's the crazy man over there?!" Which left with you ,(momentarily), thinking "i really should have said nothing and just nodded?!!?"

Would anyone like to share their experiences, to the reactions of folk when you have expressed your true thought on a topic of conversation?

This thread is not trying to ridicule in any fashion... allow me...

Last summer i was on holiday in the sunny climate of southern France, staying with an american family. Over a late glass of wine, i got talking to the american father of 6 children whom i was staying with, (A very successful silicon valley guy),. Then Osama bin errorist came into conversation. After he had expressed his concerns and worries, i asked him how he felt about some people feeling that the official story was Alice in wonderland, and that maybe your own govt. had a hand in the whole shabang.

Well.

He answered quote People who think those ideas create the same level of emotion that i would feel, if someone was molesting my children

OUCH.

The reaction did not really surprise me, i was mearly curious as to how things can perceived across the water. What struck me the most, and i think this is the key point, is that i was completely at ease with his point of view, and it really was ok!. But what i had suggested, had created a mass of distraught emotion and in his mind, and that i really needed help!

If you ever needed a time to go for a pee, that was it!!

I'm still smiling and i'd like to keep this thread LIGHT INFORMAL and RADIANT

Smile Re: Reactions of interest

I think I have lost count of how many times I was going to be nominated for weirdo of the year award. What's funny is when you think your 'enlightening' someone, and then they say something that you just didn't expect.

Suddenly you stare at each other blankly, wondering which one of you is most insane.

Now that is a good time to take a pee.

Unconcious reaction and some choose to remain unconcious.

They must find it difficult...
those who have taken authority as the truth,
Rather than the truth as authority.
