Hi Everybody,
Yesterday I got a message from a woman called Leann Wilson on Facebook. I don't know Leann apart from the fact that she has a website which promotes bands. She told me that she saw strange orange lights above the skies in Brampton, Ontário at around 23:00 on 1st of July. After a few exchanges, she asked me to type in "Orange lights in the sky" in Google and lo and behold, there are multiple sightings of apparently the same phenomenon all around the world, from the UK (I seem to remember Colin seeing something some time back), to Holland, Spain, Mexico and, of course, the US. For an interesting article about the topic check this link: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...ins-skies.html Best regards, Steve |

Cool pictures, and it's always better for them to be seen around the world instead of just one spot!

As for the orange lights, I'm going to have to camp outside some night and keep an eye on the sky. I *WANT* to see this stuff too! |

Fall 2007. First fall here in never ending sky country. Observed orange light at very high altitude, below satellite orbit I would guess. Moving fast across the sky. As I watched, it appeared to pause or maybe stop instantly and then resume. At that (pause/stop) instant, a smaller, dimmer, orange light appeared to eject behind the object and travel downward, towards the earth.
I think it would have to rate as my first sighting. Of what? I'm not sure. I do know something of physics, and what I saw doesn't jive. |
