Default Re. Henry Deacon Interview

Interesting stuff you find on the way to other interesting stuff!

So, I was reading the first Henry Deacon transcript last night, and I came across this Q & A:
Quote:

What can you tell us about Los Alamos?

"There's a Los Alamos website I'll send you, and then you can search there under “gravity shielding” and things like that. It’s all there. "

[Note: the website is http://lanl.arxiv.org.]

"Now, it may have been an error that it’s in the public domain. You might want to advise people to archive the pages they find there before they’re taken off the web once this gets out, if it does. But right now you can see it with your own eyes."
So, being curious, and with an hour or two to wait for a phone call, I went there, and I searched as directed, and .. Wow! He's right. There IS some interesting stuff there.

Hit #8 on the list had a cool title, so I click for the extract, and it says:

Gravity Control by means of Electromagnetic Field through Gas or Plasma at Ultra-Low Pressure

Authors: Fran De Aquino
(Submitted on 8 Jan 2007 (v1), last revised 15 May 2008 (this version, v7))

Abstract: It is shown that the gravity acceleration just above a chamber filled with gas or plasma at ultra-low pressure can be strongly reduced by applying an Extra Low-Frequency (ELF) electromagnetic field across the gas or the plasma.

This Gravitational Shielding Effect is related to recent discovery of quantum correlation between gravitational mass and inertial mass. According to the theory samples hung above the gas or the plasma should exhibit a weight decrease when the frequency of the electromagnetic field is decreased or when the intensity of the electromagnetic field is increased.

This Gravitational Shielding Effect is unprecedented in the literature and can not be understood in the framework of the General Relativity.

From the technical point of view, there are several applications for this discovery; possibly it will change the paradigms of energy generation, transportation and telecommunications.
So I went to the document.

Now, I am NOT a physics weenie. But I have been their keeper, before. Actually, I was the mechanical designer in the Engineering Dept for a particle accelerator project.

Now "Physics Weenies" tend to be real cracker-jack at fancy math, cogitating the behavior of odd particles, and whatnot, but when it comes to the "other real world" they have a tendency to be not too "hooked up". It was this side of them that earned them the nickname "The Slip-on Brigade" in our dept; as this was the only kind of shoes you could let them out wearing, safely.

Yes, the esoteric math is beyond my reach, even with all of my fingers and toes, but there is still some interesting reading there. Things like:
  • Gravity Control Cells [GCC]
  • Gravitational Motors Using GCC
  • Gravitational Spacecraft
  • Gravitational Thrusters, Lifters
  • Hi-Power Electro-Magnetic Bombs
  • Instantaneous Interstellar Communication
  • Wireless Electric Power Transmission, Using Gravitational Antennas
Whee!
Now, the docs are almost all in PDF form, and some of them have been locked, meaning you can read them, print them, but you can't copy/paste from them. But, the files are just like he said, "...right now you can see it with your own eyes."

Interesting stuff, indeed.
