We've had the pink pound... and now the pink poster !

Why not ?

If that's not an ironic question Swanny, I guess it has something to do with the moniker 'senior member' and the number of posts you've made....

Look at me ... a mere two hundred - it'll be a while before I turn pink!

I was going to say You're pink on my screen. What's the threshold here now between Avalon Senior Member and Project Avalon Member. I vote it's disabled.

it was explained Swanny why.....because of certain problems with new members. You have more "rights" if you are pink...

Cool Re: Pink people

Correct - you have more rights if you are purple.

We had issues with new members using the PM system and email contact within the forum to send porn.

Now new members cannot use PM or access internal email.

After a while new members become senior members automatically and PM and email rights are restored.

Hi Gareth - Speaking of porn, I noticed a pornish post on Bill Ryan's thread about Kerry Cassidy. I didn't want to waste space there - that I think it should be removed. [#240]I find it offensive anyway. It's kind of their house here.

I guess it's the low flying porn swamp doggies who write the rules about new/old distinctions then. Too bad. No probs.

Hello All,

Could a moderator please let me know when I will be able to PM people and make some friends or even contact a mod as I don't seem to be able to do any of it right now.

Many Thanks,

Love,

I think the ranking system makes sense - it allows the mods to manage the influx of new members without having to resort to controversial yet necessary measures. Remember this forum is now open to ANYONE ... Need I say more (anyhow, anyone who has ever managed a discussion forum or even has participated in one for extended period of time will know what I'm talking about). I for one am ready to wait and prove my worthiness to bear the title of a Senior Member or otherwise (^__~ )
And kudos to the mods who have to handle trolls on daily basis.
