It is by now widely known that the IRS is unable to "show us the law" that gives them the authority to collect income taxes. It is also widely known that our taxes go not to building roads and infrastucture, but 'merely' to pay down the interest on the national debt. Of course, most US citizens continue to pay taxes because the IRS carries a big stick. This is what makes this thread so interesting. If it can be demonstrated how some folks are legally getting their money back, then it's a no brainer - everyone would want their money back too!
